At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Oct 06 2023

This album is really great. You can tell they were just jamming together. Such a foundational piece for blues and rock that would follow within the next several decades.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Oct 09 2023

Can definitely see why this is considered great. Love the guitar work and synth-pop sound that so poignantly defines the 80s. Honorable mention to the bass lines that carry the groove through the whole album. Was surprised that I didn’t dig the horns, found the sax to be a little tacky. The timeless hits from this album totally slap and are always gonna be bangers. Thought the album had decent pacing and a strong finish.

GREY Area by Little Simz
Oct 10 2023

Actually really dig this album all things considered. Her accent complements her flow in a very cool way. Production is good and not very many songs were skippable. 3 stars but only really by comparison to 5 star albums.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Oct 11 2023

Can totally see why she blew up. Get very Continuum vibes actually (please don’t kill me), very etherial and easy-peasy flow. 4 stars because it’s not my cup of tea but I’ll drink it most days of the week.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Oct 13 2023

5 fucking stars dude. Love this shit.

Oct 25 2023

Can def see how this album and band influenced a lot of music to follow. Not my cup of tea but still solid. Also, GVF should cover Tan Lim

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Oct 26 2023

Not really my cup of tea but I can see why it is eighties?

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Oct 27 2023

Gained a whole new appreciation for this album on this listen through.

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Nov 03 2023

Really love this sound!

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Nov 15 2023

There’s a reason Message in a Bottle and walking on the moon are famous. The rest of it leaves a lot to be desired tbh.
