Pet Sounds
The Beach BoysIt’s really good. I always skip Sloop John B though, that song gets annoying.

I haven’t listened to a Coldplay album before, just radio hits. It’s a nice set of songs.
This was true punk 🤘 five stars
Three and a half stars. I like the voice and energy, but I’m not sure how much I’ll re-listen to this one.
Me and Julio really sticks out from this set of kind of sleepy songs. I really liked a couple of songs over the others, Duncan for example, but there’s not enough to rate the album higher as a whole.
I love the goth rock sound, and this album really nails it. I feel like some of the songs overstay their welcome though, and some aren’t as memorable. I think if I keep listening to it though I’ll start to appreciate it more over time.
Great performances and you can feel the special connection the audience has with the music. But I listened to the original track listing, and it really lacks in length. You can tell there’s a lot of the concert you missed out on. I’m excited to listen to fuller versions, but I enjoyed what was here already.
I want to give this five stars but it might be because of nostalgia. This was one of the first albums I had listened to from my dad’s collection. But on listening to it again I think it definitely could be shorter, maybe cut everything after Emit Remmus and leave in Road Trippin’? The other songs don’t seem to do anything new , and some like Savior are repetitive. But I respect the musicianship and I am a fan of Kiedis’ vocals and lyrics on this album. So it’s a weak four from me
I feel like I could like this album with repeated listens, but I’m sad to say I just found it pretty boring the first couple of times. I like the lyrical themes and how she ties some songs together with repeated motifs, but a lyric rarely stands out to me as clever or interesting. The music isn’t too compelling either for me, and some songs just blend together or go on too long.
Great sound and some cool songs. I wanted more actual songs though and less extended jam sessions. Even some of the songs with lyrics felt like they stuck to one or two lines and jammed out on that. Not hating on it, I just don’t dig long instrumentals.
I didn’t care for this as much in the first listen. But inspired by others saying this is part of a trilogy, I listened to the two albums before this and then this album. It really is such a far way from Harvest, the album that Neil was trying to get away from. It’s much darker and meandering and dirty. It was cool to hear in each album how he was expanding and experimenting. I came to appreciate the album more once I learned the backstory of grief and drug addiction as well. I’m excited to give it more listens and understand it better
This really is a great album and the Band is one of my favorites. I never came to like this album as much as their second one though. There’s just some spots were it feels less cohesive, more muddled as an album. Still that might be a good thing, it’s definitely more raw of a recording, and I love the Band and their sound. It’s maybe a 9/10 but I’ll give it a 5 star here.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this album. Each song had good melodies and was unique in some way, while being danceable and upbeat. Despite that, the lyrics were often pretty bleak but never whiny or cringy. I liked the sometime surreal imagery as well. I’ll be listening to more of this band for sure.
I know she has talent but I’m not a big Adele fan. I think I just don’t care for artists where vocal acrobatics are the main focus. A lot of these songs were also really overplayed, so it wasn’t too fun to listen to again.
They’re cheesy but I don’t know, I like ABBA and this has some good songs on it.
I just knew Superstition and I was surprised how good the rest of the album was. Favorite song was Blame the Sun. I’d like to listen to the rest of the albums from Wonder’s “classic period”.
I liked it better than 1999, but still not quite my jam.
It’s really good. I always skip Sloop John B though, that song gets annoying.
A sensitive but listenable album. Good songwriting here, I didn’t know George Michael made this kind of music. I’ll be listening to more than the hits from now on.
