Rating System Notes: 1 star - Didn't enjoy listening at all. 2 stars - Fine to listen to but didn't really enjoy it. 3 stars - I enjoyed this album while it was on but wouldn't actively seek it out to listen again. 4 stars - I really enjoyed this album and would be happy to listen to it again. 5 stars - a classic album, one I will listen to a lot in future.
I had rated this a 3 until the last two tracks when it got experimental so that might bump it down to 2
it sounds just like every other 70s rock band, idk, nothing super special to me. Too much weird screaming and guitar riffs for me. 2
I thought her voice was interesting but odd and wondered how she got into singing ... found out on Wikipedia that she was a Nazi and racist, so didn't continue listening after that.
Kind of all over the place in terms of sound, but i liked a lot of the ones nearer to the end of the album
Liked it more than I thought I would! Enjoyable to listen to. 3
Fresh jazz, I'm digging it. 5
I've always liked Emmylou and wanted to listen to more of her stuff, so I was glad to see her pop up! I have such a soft spot for this kind of old school country. 4
So blessed to get so much jazz this week! I'm digging this funky style although I probably prefer classic type jazz and the middle of Sly was too fast and stressed me out but I do still enjoy it very much. 4
It was fine, not anything I'd seek out again but I didn't mind listening. If I could do half stars it would probably be like 2.5 but I'll generously round it up to 3.
Not more 60s rock 😠At least this was more mellow than some of the other ones I've had in my queue, so it wasn't too bad to listen to, if perhaps not my exact cup of tea. 3
After getting a record by Nico earlier in this project and researching about her, I refuse to listen to anything that she's involved in, so this will be getting a 1 from me.
Finally some good fucking food ... already know this is a 5 from me
JJ said this is exactly like smoking week in someone's basement in 1994 and she was so right. People have been telling me to listen to Portishead forever so I was excited to listen, but I didn't like it as much as I hoped. Mellower than I expected and it was fine, just didn't really blow my socks off. Maybe me from the late 1900s would have loved it but we'll never know.
I wanted to like this more than I did (my hs bestie was obsessed with DJS), it just got too experimental and weird at some points and I didn't really enjoy listening to it. 2.5
