1001 Albums Summary

Very distinct sound, but makes it feel a little monotonous. Somehow feels slow even on the more upbeat stuff. Despite that, a really enjoyable album start to finish, with a couple of particular standouts.

A lot of similarities with The Who (unsurprisingly), and clearly an influence on the next couple decades of rock and early punk music.

Unique, distinct, but never monotonous. That unique sound really hits on a couple of tracks, but others are just not my style.

Bowie has a sound like no other - a great album with a few classic tracks.

The platonic ideal of American classic rock. "American Girl" is an all-time great.

Early days for The Who. Not the huge sounds they become known for later, but they definitely already have a lot of their style.

Funky, diverse, and mostly fun. The first half is better than the second

First couple tracks didn't do much for me, but glad I stick with it! Really solid, with a few standout tracks.

Some of this album is great, some of it's too weird for me.
