Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Oct 23 2023

So much funky guitar on the first few, could listen to those forever. The ballads weren't my jam

Teen Dream by Beach House
Oct 25 2023

Of the various shimmery indie pop albums from this time period, this is the one I can still fluff with. Used to listen to it on planes to keep myself chill

Oct 28 2023

I mean I guess I could listen to this. It was interesting but I was ready to be done with it after the second song. None of them really did it for me

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Oct 29 2023

Forever album. Could listen to on any Sunday lazy morning. Her voice gets me every time

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Oct 30 2023

Love it. Forgot how much fun guitar is in here too

Scissor Sisters by Scissor Sisters
Nov 01 2023

Did not realize who this was. Great album start to finish

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Nov 08 2023

Talk about a band thats gotten overshadowed by their lead singer being a jag. I can barely listen to this stuff now since it all seems so navel gazey and ridiculous. The only saving grace for them is the new guitarist that's playing for them now.

Repeater by Fugazi
Nov 10 2023

I've had this album since early college and have never listened all the way through. I know it's a seminal record and all that but it just never does anything for me.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Mar 19 2024

Not for me - I didn't listen to a one song all the way through and was never a fan of the whole skit thing.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Mar 20 2024

Very hackers soundtrack esque, good listening

Dry by PJ Harvey
Mar 22 2024

I would have loved this in high school if I had this on cd. It's a little weird and off kilter. Was a huge fan of the ones since that ended up on the radio. Not something I'd listen to a ton now but outside of the right place and time

One World by John Martyn
Mar 24 2024

This was a really surprising love. I feel like a number of bands I enjoy would count John as an influence. James Blake and Bon Iver come to mind from singing style. The guitar playing is lovely and intricate and I could listen on repeat.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Mar 26 2024

Skipped. Cannot with this album. Maybe never again.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Mar 27 2024

I was surprised that I liked this to be honest. I'm not typically a fan of the talking heads, it's all a little too 80s on the nose for me but this - with its global influences - was an enjoyable listen

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Mar 31 2024

This was okay. Not my fave Amy and some of these gave weird vibes. The October one was good but the slow ones - meh.

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Aug 17 2024

Meh. I get why this is here but its not for me. It just feels overwrought and of a specific time.

Lost Souls by Doves
Aug 18 2024

This was boring. I tried but it did not capture my attention at all and a day after I can remember nothing other than being slightly annoyed. No thanks.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Aug 19 2024

Dug it for the guitar. Not much else

Van Halen by Van Halen
Aug 20 2024

Classic.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Sep 22 2024
Gold by Ryan Adams
Jan 07 2026

Oh look at that, the internet confirmed that this dude is exactly what he looks like in the album cover. Listened until nobody girl and then realized what a twat this dude is. No thanks.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Jan 08 2026

It's...fine. I flipped through several and the lyrics. Nothing really made me want to listen to them again. It falls in the 'background music' category for me. Things that could be on at a coffee shop and I'd be like, oh that's nice they're playing Dylan and then continue back to the conversation I'm having. This one just doesn't do much for me.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jan 09 2026

Doubled up on Dylan this round so maybe I'm just already primed to not like this but this was even worse than the blood on the tracks one to me. Just...bored out of my mind trying to listen to it.

Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors
Jan 14 2026

This just makes me tired it's trying so hard to be important.

American Gothic by David Ackles
Jan 20 2026

Well this is just way too much. No thanks.

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Jan 21 2026

Wow - this is beautiful, layered, and interesting. Excited to find this

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Jan 23 2026

Another that just faded into the background. Nothing too offensive to turn it off but also nothing that really stuck out. Like buck owens, I could easily listen to this in the background of the right place without even flinching. Gets a 3 cause I would willingly listen again
