Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Nov 09 2023

"Welcome to the Jungle" - what a way to start this project! "Paradise City" is one of my all-time favorite rock songs. "Sweet Child o' Mine" is a stone cold classic. Rest of the album is good but none of the songs particularly stands out. "Rocket Queen" sounds just like "Welcome to the Jungle."

25 by Adele
Nov 10 2023

Every song kinda at the same speed. It's fine. She has a great voice. "Water Under the Bridge" sounds just like "I Love You Always Forever" by Donna Lewis.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Nov 11 2023

"Wish You Were Here" is great but I could take or leave the rest.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Nov 12 2023

I liked this but I did feel all the songs were very same-y. "Atlantic City" is a really good one that I'll be happy to have in the rotation.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Nov 13 2023

I love British music but these guys have never been one of my favourites. That said, I think this is quite a decent album, especially the first half. Love "She Bangs the Drums," especially. "I Am the Resurrection" is better than I'd remembered. It was good to have a reason to play this album again.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Nov 14 2023

Blues rock. Primal Scream borrowed heavily from this for Give Out But Don't Give Up, particularly on "Big Jet Plane," which is basically a rewrite of "No Expectations" (even a reference to pearls and swine). Highlights are "Street Fighting Man" and "Sympathy for the Devil."

#1 Record by Big Star
Nov 17 2023

Jangle pop is not really my thing but there were some nice songs on this. Now I know where they got the theme for That 70s Show.

Queen II by Queen
Nov 18 2023

Enjoyed it but I couldn't really say any song made a particular impression.

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Nov 19 2023

I'm sure it's great if you like this kind of thing.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Nov 21 2023

Covers of these songs would probably be more appealing.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Nov 22 2023

Sounds like old guys trying to be cool. Not my scene.

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves
Nov 23 2023

Bland and overproduced.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Nov 24 2023

Could see myself listening again.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Nov 27 2023

She's really matured as an artist since releasing this. It's still very good, but her later work is better.

Fragile by Yes
Nov 28 2023

I don't think I'll listen to this again.

Nov 29 2023

The hits on this are great. I particularly love Praise You. But I don't need a whole album of this type of music.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Dec 02 2023

I vividly remember the first time I played this album and heard the opening notes of "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground." It hooked me right away. A classic.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Dec 14 2023
Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Dec 17 2023

Presumably included on the list as a joke. I made it through three awful songs before turning it off.

Kid A by Radiohead
