L.A. Woman by The Doors
Dec 12 2023

Had a good groove throughout the album, and the flow from song to song felt intended.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Dec 13 2023

What a crazy swan song of an album by Bowie. Tells a story and really grips you while listening.

Dec 14 2023

I mean what can you say, it is their debut album and they had prolific careers. It is a great launching off point for Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a really enjoyable listen.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Dec 15 2023

I don’t hate it, I don’t love it. It’s somewhere in between. I know it should be considered quite good given the members, but yea

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Dec 18 2023

I mean, it was ok. There were a couple of good songs, but not an album I’d likely listen to on repeat. I enjoyed the energy and the feel, but I didn’t fully fall into the music. That being said it definitely wasn’t a bad album.

American Idiot by Green Day
Dec 19 2023

Oh man, this really takes me back. I remember early mornings before the sun rose, hopping in my friend Kyle’s car and heading to band practice. Since he drove, he chose the tunes, and this was something he played often. Man… just a different time. The older I’ve gotten the more I appreciate this album and it’s impact on my early challenges to what I was taught. The music has a good beat and there is more than one ear worm. Plus I love any type of story being told across an album. There is a reason this became a musical on broadway.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Dec 20 2023
Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Dec 25 2023

Different from Rumors, but still not really my thing. I can appreciate they are talented.

Car Wheels On A Gravel Road by Lucinda Williams
Dec 28 2023

Never heard her before. Was an enjoyable album. Neat that she is from Lake Charles, and brings some of her roots into the music.

I use to really enjoy these types of albums, but just don’t really anymore. I’m not a big drinker, and don’t want to be in a relationship that is so broken. Loretta has a beautiful voice, but these lyrics don’t speak to me or my life. That makes it much harder to relisten.

Dummy by Portishead
Jan 22 2024

Kinda weird and unique. Makes me think of a movie album.
