Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Jan 05 2024

I have never been a real big Bob Dylan fan but today started to 'move the needle' from 'okay' towards 'cool'. The rhymes, the lyrics, stories and melodies. This guy certainly packs a lot into one song. Good call 1001, please send more like this one. Thanks - Mark

Where are the U2 hits from the 80's The delay laden guitar solos, smoke, flames, castle wall back drops? A few of the tracks held my attention but for the most part.... I skipped thru them (thanks, Spotify...) after about 30 seconds. In "God's Country" had a nice groove as did a few others. Maybe it was too early to seriously ponder and appreciate/evaluate music at 5:30 AM. Maybe not. Still a long time favorite band on this end.

This was a nice reminder of how good these people were. Lyrics, melodies, harmonies. Yeah, glad I stretched myself to listen to this one. Good choice!

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jan 10 2024

Not the biggest Dire Straits fan, ever, but hearing some of their older material was good to experience. 'Sultans Of Swing' will always be a classic in my ears. The guitar work, the catchy lyrics, semi-cryptic comments/verbiage makes it a pleasure for the listener.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jan 11 2024

I had never heard of them, listened for a bit, and lost interest. They had some skills but it did not engage with me, that's all.

This is why we ignored our parents and listened to Queen. What a memory jar to the head it was to listen to this album. The stilleto crisp solos, the keyboard glissandos, the soaring harmonies. Oh wow... I was 17 all over again. This is a must-have for any Queen fan and is in my digital library. Glad I listened to ALL of this one!

Hypnotised by The Undertones
Jan 19 2024

I had not heard of the Undertones. Creative lyrics, interesting subject matter, but not 'my lane' of music. I skipped thru most and stopped at "Hard Luck".

Jan 24 2024

Where are they now? Not one of my favorite bands but being a local group (out of Akron...) we enjoyed the notoriety it brought. It is good to listen to artists you are not real familiar with and learn what else is 'out there'.

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Jan 26 2024

It lost me from the first song. I tried a few more. Just not engaging with me, that's all. "Different strokes...."

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jan 29 2024

True Talking Heads 'stuff' here. What a flashback to the '70's and revisit of their style and sound. The era of (true) MTV videos really brought these guys into the limelight. Thanks, this was a good one.

Jan 31 2024

I stopped listening after 30 seconds of the second song. Not ny cup of tea. Enjoy.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Feb 02 2024

Again, this experience has afforded me the opportunity to sample music I'd not heard of nor would have tried. I sampled the first 4 songs after about 30 seconds each. Just not what I'd add to my library/play list. Thanks, we're enjoying this.
