Tapestry
Carole KingA set of timeless tracks that remind of a simpler, peaceful time. Carole King is so core to the musical consciousness, every man, woman, and child has been graced by her serenading voice at least once.

Classic 2000's sound, featuring the familiar voice of a young Kanye, years before the cultivation of the "unpredictable" modern character. Hard hitting bars with a lightness of production that makes this album perfect for easy listening, or as a pre-gym hype up track.
Fascinatingly bizarre and unsettling, The Residents have turned the art rock genre on it's head with a descent into the macabre. Using music as a means of sonic expression as opposed to the typical comforting melody and lyrics, The Residents walked so later Avant Garde groups could run.
Hot Fuss was The Killers in their golden era, what really is there to say? Maintaining their energetic alt rock style, dusted with country influence similar to that seen in "When You Were Young" from the album previous. Hot Fuss shows a distinct change in The Killer's sound that provided them a greater pop audience appeal, while maintaining the novel and eccentric style of Brandon Flowers.
Attempting to ignore the deep disagreement on whether this is an "art piece" album as stated by major magazines, or a cheap imitation that spits in the face of the listener, "Shleep" has its moments. At it's best, the album is grating experimental prog rock that is stretching boundaries. At it's worst however, particularly after "Was a Friend" it feels Wyatt is just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. The result is discordant, irritating, and frankly purposeless. The best creative choices on the album are when Wyatt decides to keep things cleaner. His voice, the instrumentation, it can WORK, but this experiment and abstraction serves only to reduce the overall work.
