1001 Albums Summary

I never quite got into the Chili Peppers but I feel like if I'd listened to this album when it came out, I'd have liked it a lot. It is definitely really, really good. I don't think it's going into my regular rotation, though.

There's a lot of music I haven't heard, so it's possible that there's a sexier album out there than this. This one's surely up there in the rankings though.

This one fills in a gap in my musical education. Because I wasn't familiar with Wire, and yet I can hear so many bands that I *do* know in their music and specifically this album. 1977?? My goodness this is innovative.

The first one that I have no recollection of whatsoever--I've never even heard of this band. In my defense (sort of), I was listening to hair metal in 1991.

This one is tough to rate because this was such a formative album for me. What the hell, five stars.
