3/5 It's alright, with hits like "Take Me Out" and "This Fire", its not doubt a classic thrash rock album, but I'd rather personally listen to The Kooks, Interpol, or Bloc Party. Its still a decent album but not something I'd listen to regularly.
5/5 A classic punk rock album, Green Day's third studio album and their breakout album. This album bangs from beginning to end and showcases what Green Days sound really is.
3/5 Blues isn't my thing, but Blueberry Hill and Blue Monday are standouts on this album (almost half of it was unavailable to listen to on spotify). It is however important to achknowledge the importance that Fats and other black musicians had in the evolution of Rock & Roll and R&B.
4/5 Hugely influential Hip Hop from the 90's, I can imagine the records scratching and how much fun was had recording this, in addition to the cultural impact this had (and which is still relevant)
5/5 This is the perfect vibe for a hostel, and I love the soundbits scattered throughout the entire album. Quintessential Mexican music, I was bopping my head through almost every track.
4/5 Love Bob Dylan, its not "completely" my thing but it is easily listening and Bob's influence on rock and roll in the 20th century is easily noticeable
4/5 An extremely catchy breakthrough album for a white hip/hop group, lots of trash talking and good vibes from the beastie boys (and theres a boeing 727 on the album cover, so +5 points)
5/5 Amazing prog rock, drop a tab and put this in. Choppy synth, very good beats, and a god damn saxophone solo, this makes you see wonder in just about everything.
2/5 Pretty crunchy guitar and catchy raw synth, but JFC the vocals are so poorly recorded, and some of the solos are just drowned out by the generally really bad mixing and recording quality, catchy but generally pastiche/uninspiring for a mid 80's New Wave/Electronic album.
3/5 Good chill relaxing music, it really improves later into the album, the first half is personally a drag for me.
3/5 Groovy rock and hip hop, very Gorillaz-y, hence kind of generic because of this. Not my favorite from Beck personally
4/5 Classic Classic rock, pretty easy to listen to each song and f ull of classics
5/5 Ska-ey and hip hop-ey, love it
5/5 Amazing early pop album, I do indeed need a (wo)man after midnight
Amazing Prog Rock, Genesis is full of musical legends, and this stands out there as one of the definitive rock groups of all time.
3/5 Not my favorite early pop-rock experience, it feels like a muted beatles experience, and the beatles pre-drugs are not particularly inspiring nowadays, let alone the costco brand version
Not my jam, fear of a black planet was more enjoyable imo
Really good follow up to Thriller, but Liberian Girl will always kinda creep me out.
It was ok, better towards the second half of the album, I do enjoy very bare bones early punk though, especially at dive bars
It had very good moments
Pretty good actually, still going on english rock/punk bands i see
