This is definitely some jazz. I recognize the importance of this album, and it's really easy to listen to. It makes me think of sitting in a dark club, smoke swirling, a drink on the table, chatting with someone at my table.
It's also not music I'd reach for on the regular, so I guess it's good it was my first album to listen to in this project.
The songs on this album are big nostalgia from my teen years. I love it! That being said - it's been a while since I listened to the whole album all at once, and I didn't realize how... samey it sounds? Like it sounds like maybe two really long songs. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I actually am finding I wasn't necessarily blown away by the album as a whole. Still a great listen though, and it made me remember what it was like to be a kid and wish I was a hacker.

This one is not for me. Not my era, not my style of music or vocals, and especially not a live set. If someone wants to tell me what a heathen I am, fine, do it. But I'm not listening to this whole thing just to say I did it.
Fantastic album. I'd heard a few songs off of it before and really enjoyed it, but this is the first time I'd heard the whole album. It transports me to a dreamy place, and the album colors make my eyes happy.
This is a great album, I'd never heard it in its entirety. Depeche Mode is a staple of the 80s, and while I do really enjoy their music... it's not necessarily something I reach for again and again, either.
I hadn't heard this whole album before, just a song or two. It's an easy listen, really good for a rainy or mellow day, and it's got some vague Pink Floyd vibes. It wasn't super memorable for me, but I'd put it on in the background and not be unhappy it was on!
I don't normally sit down and listen to a jazz album, but the weather has been rainy around here lately and this feels fitting. I'll say that I did enjoy listening to this, I don't have enough experience with the genre to comfortably rate the album, but as far as my enjoyment went? I'd put this on in the background of a rainy day again.
I'd heard and enjoyed a few Echo songs before, the full album is pretty good and very 80s. I don't know that I need to listen to more than a few songs by this band at a time though. It's a fine album!
I love this album, it's fantastic from beginning to end, and I was glad to see it pop up for this project. They give me this sense of specific melancholy I don't find often in other artists, it's a real mood.
