Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 18 2024

Already listened to - in fact, I have it on vinyl (though that was my parents' choice). I do like it, but I haven't really listened to much else Bruce Springsteen - perhaps I should.

Heroes by David Bowie
Jan 22 2024
The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Feb 01 2024

Kraftwerk probably had more influence on the direction of music than the Beatles. Listening back though, it's sort of like playing Goldeneye or another seminal old video game: you have to admit technology has moved on and improved

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Feb 02 2024

Some forgettable songs, but when it hits, it really hits. ...And Justice For All and One in particular.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Feb 06 2024

I knew the titular track, and liked it, but didn't realise how much the rest of the album bangs. It's great. Really like the way it's mixed almost like a DJ set as well.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Feb 07 2024

Lots of classic tracks, but not something I would listen to a lot.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Feb 08 2024

Didn't really do anything for me. A bit bland.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Feb 09 2024

Plenty of bangers. Love the half-punk, half-crooner vibe

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Feb 13 2024

Classic - have it on vinyl

Feb 16 2024

I liked this more than I thought I would from the first couple of songs. I like the way that the songs jump around a bit, the rhythmic & lyrical structure was a bit unpredictable and I enjoyed that.

The Sun Rises In The East by Jeru The Damaja
Feb 23 2024

Never heard before; just great 90s hip-hop. The rather intense misogyny of one song aside I found the lyrics pretty enjoyable and the beats were really interesting

Moving Pictures by Rush
Mar 06 2024

Never heard before. Can't say this did much for me. Some interesting musical directions, bad singing. can see why some might enjoy, but I can't see myself going back to it.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jun 18 2024

Iron Maiden have a very particular style which is good in small bursts, but not something I'd want to be engaging with all the time. But this album deserves 4* basically entirely for Hallowed Be Thy Name, which is a brilliant song.

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Jun 21 2024

Sounded like something I would imagine playing in a bar in America. Fine but unlikely to revisit in many circumstances.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jan 29 2026
Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Feb 09 2026
Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Feb 13 2026

It's okay. Can't imagine myself coming back to much, there are other better things of a similar style available

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Feb 17 2026
