Overall -I like that they include record player white noise -the blend of hip hop and jazz tempos are incredible -a bassists’ wet dream -the way if the vocals and instrumental were separated, they would go hard as their own songs -it’s very different but it’s kinda all the same type of different. Overall -this sounds a lot earlier than 1995, like new wave, I dig that -it’s a lot grungier and punk than I was expecting -they sound like the clash to me kinda? -I feel like they are really putting on a British accent, this ain’t even an Oxford accent -Time is prolly my favorite I’d Like to Know -Oh the guitar fucks -they sound like a specific song I’ve heard before Mansize Rooster -yes yes yes -damn they blended so many genres in this one song Alright -OH -this is the song I was thinking of before -oh the guitar fucks soooo hard Lose It -the guitar solo reminds me of Greta Lenny -guitar of course fucks but the bass is also slapping Strange Ones -the riff sounds so similar -I really like the tempo changes -Oooooo a bluesy as fuck guitar solo Sitting Up Straight -I like the riff -it’s giving Ok Go -I wish the guitar line was cleaner She’s so loose -the acoustic is real nice choice -this feels like hotel California or just the eagles meet RHCP we’re not supposed to -huh, ok -did they ever perform this live Time -I would scale a wall for this riff -oh sick, it got even better. Love the bluesy influence -oh I fucking love this Sofa -it’s giving Allman Bros / CCR meets Oasis Time to Go -the back half of the album is def a lot more blues -reminds me of how Greta closed out the Starcatcher album with “Farewell for Now” as a love letter to fans

Overall -recorded after 6 months in Bellevue for attacking Jefferson Airplane with a fire axe and played every single instrument, never heard of anything more iconic -he reminds me of Bon Iver meets Johnny Cash in a way -I love how messy/not sharp the electric is, he’s def hanging out on the pick ups, a fender? Maybe Stratocaster?? -it’s giving the art Van Gogh painted while in the insane asylum energy Little Hands -I like how the electric sounds “messy” -Something that could play in an elevated Starbucks Cripple Creek -the vocal range ??? -reminds me of a folky song I can’t place Diana -It’s giving Johnny Cash Hurt -Is that a sitar ????? War in Peace -His voice is so folky -bro how many guitar tracks did he lay -ooooo the tempo pick up Weighted Down -so he’s a country singer now then ??? -vocal is noticeably louder -it sounds like repentance All Come to Meet Her -who do we think the “her” is? Overall - a staple of Chicago blues that deserves a spot in eternity. (biased cause I love this dude and Chicago jazz) -a man could absolutely rizz me the fuck up to this album -the Disney rollercoaster fire and ice but harmonic and guitar -the harmonica was mixed too high volume wise -crosseyed cat is prolly my favorite, honorable mention/second place to walkin thru the park -realistically a 3 but I’m a blues whore so it’s a 4 Mannish Boy -I love how understand the harmonica is Bus Driver -the harmonica is the star of the show -I must know what guitar was used -the guitar goes hard -ok piano !!! I Want to be Loved -no notes, a smooth ride Jealous Hearted Man -the harmonica is a paid actor -didn’t know one could shred on a harmonica I can’t be satisfied -A BANJO -what’s that percussion -oooo the tempo -I wonder what the banjo part would sound like on the guitar -the guitar compliments then banjo line with juxtaposition, and the banjo follows the vocal more The Blues Had a Baby -THE BLUES GOT PREGNANT AND THEY NAMED IT ROCK AND ROLL -OOOOOOO that guitar, turn it up -piano going hard too Deep Down in Florida -the slowness of the guitar -harmonica keeping the rhymthe -damn good guitar, bendy and twangy as fuck -it has got to be a Gibson Les Paul or ES Crosseyed Cat -the tempo is so interesting, it’s like right inbetween what your ears wanna hear and your heart wants to feel -every instrument shows off in this song -oh fuck, the guitars, my god Little Girl -the melody the guitar adds -this sounds more fender Stratocaster Walkin Thru the Park -intro is giving grease -oh hell yeah, this is the good ole blues meat -oh it ends how it starts

Overall -it sounds like when people figure out how to use photo editing softwares and completely over do it because they can -if they pulled back the electronics it would of been better -the songs alone are good, as an album this is not it -the guitar is far stronger than the melody’s -the back half is a lot better -I am torn, it’s probably a 3 but I struggled so hard to make it to the good stuff A Rush and a Push and the Land is -it’s kinda giving EDM vibes? Like a hint of Avicii in the beginning I Started Something I couldn’t Finish -kind of jazzy? death of a disco dancer -it’s like giving big 80s slow dance energy -i like the guitar girlfriend in a coma -brooo what’s the through line here -oh shit the violins -ok the strings fuck Unhappy Birthday -I am HOWLING, this is iconic Paint a Vulgar -the guitar is fantastic

Overall -technically, it’s phenomenal, compositions and everything but it feels as tho there is something left to be desired -it isn’t a skip but I’m not running back to it So Far Away -ooo that’s a beautiful bodied guitar -damn what kind of pedal? Not a wah wah? -maybe a slide too? -lovely and smooth Money for Nothing -a gentle synth, I dig -I don’t think I’ve ever really listener to the intro of this song -hot hot hot hot hot -the guitar is cloudy yet crystal ??? -is it a Les Paul ???? Overall -Ok so the highwomen is just the 2.0 version of this album -the harmonies are stunning -I mean it’s good, everything kinda sounds the sound tho -maybe it’s just cause I don’t resonate with country but this doesn’t do to for me, like what’s the so what?

The guitar fucks so hard. Once again conceptualizing the different between soul and blues. This is a vinyl I’d hunt down

Overall -OOO hitting us with some classic Britpop sound -how did they manage to capture the prior 30 years of rock sound ?? -these would be great guitar tracks for Guitar Hero -I want to give if a 3 but I feel like I have to give it a 4 because it’s just so impressive to me how well they blended so many different sounds Common People -I very much enjoy the guitar -this feels worthy of a movie soundtrack -this sound would be great in guitar hero I Spy -Oh it’s giving disco ?? -this is so creepy and fucked lmao -the strings ???? -this is so unnecessarily dramatic and I love it Disco 2000 - this is all abba riffs - one specific ABBA song I can’t place - this song is so interesting, it gives great rock guitar yet classic disco sound Live Bed Show -again the sounds are all so different and sound so good together Something Changed** -the strings and acoustic fuck Sorted for E’s ** -the blend of like rock and disco pop is insane and like electronic Feeling Called Love -Oh this dude is a sick fuck Underwear -I don’t like the message I don’t think but I actually really like the song Monday Morning -Ooooooo that little rocking on the pick ups Bar Italia -almost some blues influence

Overall -idk if I am just listening to these songs differently but these sound like completely new songs -the instrumentals, rhythms, melodies blend so well together -it’s peppered with hidden and new guitar riffs -she sounds so young -it’s kinda extremely bluesy, jazz, soul -it’s actually pretty diverse collection of sounds but with a strong through line Rolling in the deep -ok this is actually extremely blue grassy or ragtime ? -the hidden guitar riffs Rumor Has It -the bass goes fucking hard I’ll be waiting -OOOOOOOH? -huh?????? -this song goes so fucking hard There was one song that sounded so fucking country that I can’t remember

Overall -apparently this is culturally significant and in the library of congress -this is not for me -I mean is good poetry but I could fall asleep -it all sounds the same to me. I mean the guitar melody’s are pretty but this is hard to get through

Overall -I dig, another rock album that has great blues. I enjoyed it but wasn’t amazed Mambo Sun -loving the guitar, hating the singing Cosmic Dance -damn is that pedal on their guitar? Overall -it’s giving 90s flick movies -this entire album feels like someone accidentally spilled lyrics over hold music -it’s albums like this that make me wonder who the fuck let this get made -imagine the confidence you have to have to release 9 5 minute songs, like turn off his mic -this album made me like angry Safe from Harm -it’s already feeling like a no One Love -absolutely not -these lyrics are absolutely ridiculous -THESE LYRICS ARE RIDICULOUS -this is awful Blue Line -ok -no Five Man Army -this is ok -hate the ending

this album is kinda funky, I dig it -I enjoyed listening to this, had no desire to skip or turn it off but don’t know when I’ll seek it out again -I imagine this is incredibly significant for black culture and a lot of things are beyond my comprehension -that one part was basically porn

It’s very soul almost gospel -Sounds like it belongs on a bad movie soundtrack -it’s neither bad nor great for me personally -I don’t dislike this, wouldn’t run to turn it off but not seeking it out, I’m missing the “so what” or what is ground breaking about it -Im really torn between a 2 or 3 rating, because it is objectively good, it’s just not striking anything with me as an album

-It’s obviously good, a little more funk to it than I would imagine -good mix of uppers and downers -I think this is one of the best designed/curated albums we’ve listen to in terms of straight through line sonically

-Objectively an incredibly strong Afro-cuban (?) album -I like this better than the last album that was added to the library of congress we listened to -it’s very pleasant having on in the background

-Eddie the fucking man that you are -I’m the one / ice cream man sounds kinda bluesy -no excessive notes, it’s just that good. -idk how to say this but this makes you feel rock and roll like physically feel it. It just exceeds such raw, unpretentious passion. -I don’t understand how something that fucks this hard just feels so unassuming ?? -It feels so stripped down and modest and somehow layered together it’s incredibly fancy and explosive -there is something extremely special about bands and music with only one guitar -honestly I’m excited that this is my first 5 star

-4 songs spanning 56 minutes, color me intrigued -why does this feel like a music students thesis -im just picturing this dude as silver surfer running around playing all the instruments -OH FUCK when the electric comes in -god damn the way he works in and out of bits is incredible -is this a joke, why is this so good -I am literally so far up this albums ass -this album makes me want to die, in like a good way -it’s giving a hint of greensleeves, 10 mins into part 2 -the fucking TEMPO MANAGEMENT -the screaming I could do without. -this sounds like a bunch of dudes who wanted to talk the alt music talk but can’t walk the walk -like maybe they just started dressing/were alt music scenesters that no one ever bothered asking if they could make music -I couldn’t find any synergy between the lyrics, melodies, riff ect throughout the entire album

-it feels like an exact replica/product of its time. As if it captured that late 90s nostalgia perfectly, where they can’t exactly sing but also can’t not sing -there is a specific 90s film I would bet my life these are in cause it invokes the feel of watching -it feels intentionally peeled back and watered down/raw about it, it just feels very human -When Bon Jovi said “All I have is this guitar, these chords and my truth” he was reviewing this album

This has got to be one of the few album on here completely in a different language where the language is not specific to the genre It’s quietly beautiful, but it’s long as fuck. It would be a great record to throw on and forget about

Shine on you crazy diamon pt 1-5 i don’t remember being this bluesy AS FUCK The through like is but hazier than I remembered. It’s fantastic music but it doesn’t feel life changing? I don’t know how to explain it Maybe it’s cause I’ve listen to it before and it’s the first album that I’ve heard all the songs before Gonna give it the benefit of the doubt and go with 4 over 3

The way I screamed when I saw this come up -it was kinda iconic she put an intro song on here, like classic rock album style -it’s giving big Alicia keys vibes too -fighter fucks so hard -this is like a group project where CA did 70% of the work -I love the little sound bite songs between songs, it feels so intentional in the album crafting. Makes it feel like almost a live album -that being said, this album is entirely too long -Underappreciated -it seems almost intentionally “stripped” back sonically

-you found give me 5 guesses and I’d guess 5 other genres before Metal -this album slaps so hard, it’s easy but engaged listening -Jack the Stripper

Idk, like ok and? I am transported to a dentists office This feels like the soundtrack for the menu section of a DVD. One you’d wake up to blaring on repeat for the movie you’d fallen asleep to. That and/or bad hold music. No offense but why the fuck is this on here. The story of light was ok, I don’t mind water babies either. But the name makes me think this is what they want you to put on during a home water birth Did this dude wake up and think “how many I paint Hindu music white and tweak if for Berlin basements”

A genre bender of an album

-Her reading sheet music is interesting to me because it almost makes me feel like she’s trying to be studio polished when that’s entirely opposite of the live performance recording point -It’s insane how high quality this is -Ok the ad lib is iconic during the difficulties in weeping willow -ok the last song was kinda rogue -it was good and I’d buy it on vinyl but I feel like I’ve listen to 10 other live Jazz albums just like it

-this feels like Disney’s fantasia but for adults who like Jazz -Oooooooooo this is where that’s from (take five) -just a real good jazz album

It just didn’t hit really

-the instrumental in move over fucking slaps -giving a little jazzy blues -don’t get me wrong, Janis is a phenomenal singer but man does the guitar on these track fuck -god damn there are literally no skips -I would literally listen to all these songs with the tracks separated -I simply don’t have any notes

-it’s giving that jimmy fallon game, like ok, sea shanty’s but in punky blues and Celtic punk rock style with a hint of mariachi -seemingly like it’s gonna be a concept album -it’s the type of music that doesn’t sound delicious to the ears but the effort is astounding

While not my favorite, it is undeniably a poetic masterpiece with incredible musicality. Super folky jazz, I’m v into the back half of the album, raised on robbery goes so hard

-I’ve never thought about how beautiful the harmonies are -that has got to be a telecaster b bender in take it easy -idk if I’ve ever noticed the banjo. I’d also put money on there being a 12 string in there -they seemed like confused about what genre they should be in? -the album goes hard for a debut
