Meh

I have loved this album since the first time I heard it when I was 16. Except Masters of War, which I always skip because it is such a bad contrast to the song before it, “Girl From the North Country.” Also like this version of GFtNC better than the Dylan/Cash duet.

Excellent songs (minus Rape Me), good album. Not as good an album as Nevermind, but still fine work.

Solid for chill listening. Lyrics are a little hard to understand at times, like he’s drunk (which he probably was lol). I am a Gainesville girl who loves this Gainesville boy though.

What a banger of an album. Obviously aptly named and a 5/5 star album. My favorite thing about it is the placement of the first track and the last track on the album. Imagine the way the party would howl when you turn this record on in your living room in 1959 with “Let the Good Times Roll,” and imagine slow-dancing with your steady girl/guy/pal at the end to “Come Rain or Shine.” Just gorgeous.

4 star album for me. I love the songs I know, I liked the songs I didn’t, and I felt like the pacing was good. “Victim of Love” was a new one for me, and I liked the guitar in it. Would listen again.

Love that the special edition album comes with an interview with Ian Anderson being like “this is not my best work.”
