So by Peter Gabriel
Feb 22 2024

1) Red Rain- fine but skippable. 2) Sledgehammer- certified bop. I was vibing in my office big time. 3) Don't Give Up - A very nice song, Kate Bush makes it, apparently helped Elton John with sobriety 4) That Voice Again - Bring the pace back up, fine also. 5) In Your Eyes - This is the boombox song! Another bop 6) Mercy Street - depressing but pretty good 7) Big Time - woke me back up, incredibly 80s so I liked it 8) We Do What We're Told - A fine interlude but I skipped it 9) This is the Picture - The intro hooked me big time, bit too avant garde 7.5/10, a proper whiplash between sad and absolute bops. Worldbeat influence very on show which is very cool. Thanks Peter.

Young Americans by David Bowie
Feb 23 2024

1) young americans- I know this song, I faved it 2) Win - cool song, jazzy backup vocals. The breakdown cool as shit 3) fascination - I'm into it, proper cacophony of noise, overwhelming but cool 4) right - annoying, skipped 5) somebody up there likes me - fun, I liked it a lot from the start, bit gospel 6) across the universe- thought this was Bowie but it's a Beatles cover? Cool 7) can you hear me - cool r&B take 8) Fame - what a fuckin banger need I say more Largely a soul record so very cool and influential 7/10

Few duds but lots of bangers, not a no skipper

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Feb 25 2024

I listened to this in its entirety while making dinner on a Saturday night and it was such a vibe. What a great record.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Feb 26 2024

I'm yet to get an album I don't like here. This is the first one not on spotify so i didn't quite get the same experience I had to pull it up on a PC. Some lovely compositions and apparently the start of the jazz influence on her records so I can see why it's so highly regarded.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Feb 27 2024

Liked it but plenty skippable tracks, not his best but maybe cause I was in a monday mood

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Feb 28 2024

Stevie has so many bangers, it was a longer album and I got pissed after work seeing Shanksy so couldn't fully enjoy. An easy 3 but deserves more

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Feb 29 2024

Kiedis is a bit noncey so it makes listening to this era RHCP a bit weird. Enjoyed it tho and a few bangers on there

Almost a no skipper, Gin N Juice one of the best tracks of all time tbh. Funk influence and melodys are great. Bit repellant with the lyrics.
