Who Killed...... The Zutons?
The ZutonsVery solid album. Hard to believe it was recorded in early 2000s. It's as if they found some forgotten records from 70s and and re-edited them in the 90s.

Do it again (go back jack) - 1st song - a masterpiece!!!
Memories can't wait - kinda liked it, but still not my cup of tea other is.. meh, except for the last track (Drugs) Animals: 5/4 -> 7/4
So beautiful!
Ahh... classics of odd rhythms
Not my genre. Some songs are good, probably... but the arrangements are not for me. Taj Mahal could definitely become a decent song if it was rock band playing it as a slow ballad.
His voice was really phenomenal, one of a kind, probably, on par with Freddy Mercury's. The songs are quite good and original, and yet, unfortunately, not one of them got stuck in my head (except for Hallelujah, but that is a cover). This could be 5/5 if at least one song was memorable enough to be a potential hit.
Kind of weird, but, for me it is not some "pleasant weird" like Bjork, but "uncomfortably weird". I suppose, the album was intended as experimental, but now it sounds sooo 80s it hurts. Good experimental albums should be hard to age-date. I'm pretty sure that for Kate Bush's fans at the time this was kind of fresh air or stepping out of a comfort zone, but for me now... just weird stuff.
I am not really into Bob Marley. Reggae is not my cup of tea, so... sorry Bob.
This album made me realise once again that I don't like Rolling Stones. Well, ok, this is solid rock'n roll, no doubt, it would have been a great album in the mid-60s... But, come on! This was released in 1972!!! Deep Purple's Machine Head came out the same year; Led Zeppelin's IV, Pink Floyd's Echoes and Yes' Frigile (with Roundabout) came out a year ago! And these are only those who come to my mind when remembering early 70s. And yet, Rollings got stuck in the 60s. To me, this album is so outdated and such a waste of time.
I don't like punk music in general. This album occasionally had some funny or interesting moments, that's why I rate it as 2, not 1.
Never heard anything like this, it was so hard to get into, and yet so attracting and somehow even relaxing. It's like you listen to the chaos and stop bother, like immersing into some smoke cloud or . I'd say, you have to have a right mindset to make through this album. I'm a mess myself, so this music got into me quite easily.
I actually quite liked this album. Such a beautiful voice and very immersive instrumentals. First I wanted to give it 3/5 given the monotonous nature of all the songs which might be kind of boring if you are not in the mood for relaxing and meditating. However, the England track changed my mind. It all made sense, as the monotonous tracks before were now acting as the preparation for this kind of final piece that fell into place quite neatly. So.. great album!
Very soft and pleasant music, good for relaxaion, even though can be boring at times. Also good lyrics ("Every Man Needs a Maid" does not count)
This was kind of puzzling: all my instincts, all my music experience told me that I should like this music. But, surprisingly, I just... don't! Three last songs saved it from being a complete waste of time (especially, "Well I Wonder" - it's a masterpiece!), but the first part of the album did not feel good at all. And that's a shame
That was... good. But does not make me want to listen to this album again and again.

This was...ok, nothing more/
This is not one album but two half-albums. The first is decently experimental, and its good even though not to my liking. But I can't even start to find words to describe the second part. Fantastic would be an understatement, mind-blowing, out of this world and yet so familliar. I think Bowie, Eno and others at that time invented the music of the future (which is part of the music of our days now), and allowed to take a small glimpse into it. I wish it was not so small, but that is the only negative thing I can say about the second part.
Pink Floyd raised the greatest question in rock music (B-F-G-E?). Noone asnswered yet.
This is very close to the kind of electronic music that I like, but not quite there. Some moment are hit, while some are miss from my point. Very solid album anyway.
The music that gave a way to the Beatles and all the rock that came afer. Beautiful and simple.
Not the kind of music I'm ineresed in, but that appeared quite interesting and sometimes bizzare, but in a good way
