yeah. good album.

this really makes you *feel * like a country boy but like, in a good way. I'm usually pretty turned off to a lot of country music, but this feels much less commercialized and a lot more soulful compared to a lot of country rock from today. Little Wing fucks.

can't say it was totally gripping. Get On Top is a fun, rompy song, but not much else to it. maybe I'll revisit at some point.

I mean, come on, it's fucking ABBA. the over-the-top, larger-than-life, with the chorus-like vocals, soaring synths, the odd xylophone here and there; it's all great. although I will say, I was worried about trying to get through a full album, but was pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of variety while also keeping a sense of cohesiveness. each song runs between 3 and 4 minutes, averaging at a comfortable 3m30s each, each song takes just enough time to play with its ideas and themes a bit before moving onto the next one. it's pop music, perfected.

I don't know if its just that shoegaze isn't really for me, but if it's meant to sound like one really long song that doesn't really have a rise or fall to it, then I guess it does the job.

dude. I mean, come on. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said about this album. just fucking listen to it. it's great.

really cool sound, but it does get a lil repetitive. I pretty thoroughly enjoyed it, though.
