Let's Stay Together
Al GreenHave heard many of these songs, but not all, and have never listened to this as a full album. The whole album is fantastic.

Outstanding Bowie. Pure and mainlined. <3
Janelle Monae somehow seems like she's doing what naturally comes next after all that has come before and also like she's doing something completely novel... which is one way to describe the avant garde, I suppose. LOVE.
Obviously a classic and important album with some 90's bangers in it. Listening to it brought me back. The songs - their sound, the nostalgia I feel for them, and their important role in bringing black art to the forefront of popularity and so to wide masses - are important and powerful. I was also reminded of how performatively masculine, misogynistic, and repetitive the lyrics are. I've never loved that aspect and am excited for every moment gangsta rap breaks free from that to speak honestly and powerfully about life experiences...
Didn't realize my fave Police songs were from this album. Enjoyed this more than Synchronicity... Wow.
Cannot get enough Tribe. Giant love. 90's hip-hop put the foundations down for the genre for decades to come. Amazing.
Never really listened to them and enjoyed this. Did it blow my mind? Nope. Was it a totally fine and fun album to play on background while doing whatever? Yep.
Solid album ushering in a particular early 90's sound (what's up ghost notes on snare drums???). Nostalgic listen that holds up decades later. Solid, soulful, and very enjoyable album.
Not a huge fan of electronica but given that this was a fun listen.
Hard to hear CCR without having their utter overplaying on the radio be a factor, but it was super cool to hear the cuts on an album of theirs (however few there are on this album) that didn't chart.
Never really listened to a Judas Priest album in its whole before. Enjoyable. I love how this metal band has the most wholesome and moral songs on its album... we stand united... you don't have to be old to be wise... lovely.
This album is gorgeous. Full stop.
Nice to listen to. Not my particular style but cool to hear a slightly less famous voice from greenwich village folk times.
Enjoyable! Never listened to it before. Love this genre. Thought this was a very good but not amazing option for the genre. Wish it was less talk singing.
This was for a moment in my life one of the few albums my brother (who was deep in hip-hop) and me (who was deep in hippie rock and pop, punk, new wave, and weird indie shit) both loved listening to. I forgot some of the less famous tracks which hew more soft and pretty than trip-hop funky. <3
