1001 Albums Summary

Genre-defining sound of 60s and 70s rock. The rest of the songs carry the same distortion and sustain-filled guitar riffs that the title track is known for. Found some new goodies like, “Touch Too Much” and “If You Want Blood (You Got It)”

Fools Gold is the only real jewel on this album for me. I wish they would have done this whole album in that style.

Been a while since I’ve listened to this in its entirety… Strangely, it’s not as good as I remember it. It feels too slow. Like Wayne Coyne is really feeling himself a little too much on this one.

Meh.

Easy 5 stars. Absolute banger and classic.

Dope, live jazz album. I felt like I was in the club. Piano playing was magnificent.

Wikipedia described this as an album that signifies the death of the Hippy movement. That’s exactly how this album sounded. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Solid 3.

I can see why people like this band. I enjoyed some of these tracks. But, ultimately, not my favorite stuff.

Classic White Stripes.

I feel like this is really when UK Hip Hop was growing into its own. I can hear all the growing pains. These all sounds like impersonations of early 90s R&B songs or Hip Hop/Dancehall mashups.

Not for me.
