Tragic Songs of Life
The Louvin BrothersFelt like I listened to the same mediocre song on repeat. And then it got real religious. Definitely not in a good way

Of all the Britney albums, this one made the list? Preposterous! Adult me says this is one stinker of an album. Grade 9 me probably would’ve given it a 5. Even though it sucks I sang every single stupid song because I actually owned the album and apparently use precious memory space for bad song lyrics.
I was expecting to know and like most of these songs, but this album was pretty underwhelming
This was...different... Lots of alien abduction vibes. Would pair well with a light show at a planetarium.
Meh. The music was fine. Couldn’t really get on board with the lead singer’s voice. It was unique. But not a good unique. Like an “I’m surprised this guy got a record deal unique”
Standard classic rock album. Good for camping trips and long car rides. I said “it’s got a real Eric Clapton vibe” and Kyle replied “that’s because it’s Eric Clapton”. Touché.
Might be the first time I’ve listened to this album all the way through. She has a beautiful voice. Some songs are better than others (the x-factor is a favorite). I’d listen again!
I suspect there will be a lot of 1s and 5s for this. Either love it or hate it. So many of the songs sound like they would be in a horror film. It had me thinking “you okay, man? You seem pretty angry”
Didn't recognize any of the songs, but like their general vibe. Would definitely listen to this again
First time listening to her music and I was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful voice, interesting songs. I really liked the upbeat ones
Wasn’t sure if I had listened to any of the songs on this album besides More Than a Feeling. They all sort of sound the same to me. Your typical classic rock album. I feel meh about it.
This was okay. I usually really like funk music but for some reason this didn’t really do it for me.
Lots of nostalgia here, although I think his follow up album had better songs. Can’t say I love all the lyrics. And I feel bad that my parents had to listen to me listen to such atrocious language on a loud speaker!
I actually recognized a few songs. Pretty sure from my younger years at my grandma’s house. He’s no Kenny Rogers, but I enjoyed this album
I always appreciate the versatility of jazz. Can listen to it over dinner, while working on a puzzle, or just hanging out. I was surprised by how short this album was, but it’d be a great addition to any jazz playlist
Only recognized the first song. Apparently she was pretty big in the 80s. I don't really understand why (although This Woman's Work is spectacular). Waking the Witch was interesting... Overall, probably never need to hear this again (including Running Up that Hill...that song sucks. Ya I said it)
This was bizarre. His voice was Bowie-like but…cheesier? Some of the songs were very strange, but some of them were pretty good. It was comme ci, comme ca for me. Solid 3
This made me feel like I was on vacation, and if there’s anything I love, it’s vacation. Is it in Spanish? Is it Portuguese? I have no idea but I’ll listen again!
I like Arcade Fire and was expecting to love this. But after the first song (which is fantastic), the rest were sort of meh
No surprises here. I enjoy reggae. It all sort of sounds the same to me, but I like the sound, so I’ll give it a 3
Thought I would like this more because Criminal is such a good song, but she sort of sounds like an okay lounge singer.
