It’s was alright Fav songs: rapid fire, breaking the law, grinder, the rage
Some of it slaps hard and her voice is great. Can see and hear so many inspirations pulled from this album. That being said, it wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea. This the blue print of all women who have psychdellic tapestry hung up on their wall and want to “move out west”
I love the white stripes and Jack White but this album just screams mid 2000 commercial music. Still, not the worse but probably my least favorite White Stripes album. Fav songs: Blue Orchid (slaps), my doorbell and denial twist
There’s a reason why this album is a classic. To the point, doesn’t overstay its welcome. Production is fire and bars for days
Solid album. Enjoyed it far more than Soundsgarden (which in hindsight is a 2 out of 5). Heavy chunky guitars and vocals ares great. It overstays its welcome a bit however with the lyric subject matter being quite a downer. The first three songs are a killer opener tho
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Raw, production is bonkers, bars. What more could you ask
This is like Black Midi in the 60s
Not for me at all
Solid Brit pop.
Thought I’d enjoy this one more. Starts off solid with the first three tracks but lost me in the middle. Sings started sounding samesy Fav songs: Beetlebum, Song 2, Death of a Party, Youre so great
Killer album. Atmospheric yet catchy and poppy. Production is awesome, great drums and variety through out. Would be an excellent driving at night album Fav song: Shout, Everybody wants to rule the world, Mothers Talk, broken, head over heels
Easily the most unique album to date and I respect it for that. This isn’t something that I would normally turn and listen to but for a long drive or something to throw on while cooking etc. could be perfect
This is just grating. Singer is unbelievably annoying. I don’t know what this album is supposed to be. It all feels derivative.
Not the worst thing I’ve ever listened to. This type of music just ain’t for me. If you’re into Billy Joel, Elton John, or any of that glammy 70s rock this will be your jam
First Radiohead album I’ve come across om this list. I think this album is fairly mid when it comes to Radiohead. The highs on this album are high but the lows unfortunately outweigh those highs. That being said there are some killer tracks individually but as a whole project it feels a bit bloated and over stays it welcome. Fav tracks: 2+2=5, Sail to the Moon, Where I end and you begin, there there, a wolf at the door
Funky, groovy, psychedelic, SOULFUL. Solid solid solid album.
Another Brit pop album. This time it’s the most generic of all. No for me dawg
No thanks pal
Not as bad as the other one but just not my thing at all
Fantastic album. Somehow only 7 songs and 4 of them are bonafide classics and essential songs. Simple Man is personally one of my favorite songs of all time. Free Bird might be the best closer of any album
I kind of dig this but at the same time I don’t. I like this type of guitar forward, loud, punky, progressive sound but this isn’t hitting for me. Some of the riffs and jams are cool but it’s the washed out vocals by the wall of sound that really take points away
Let me just that I believe that Thundercat is easily one of the most talented musicians of this generation. Dude can really play some bass. All that being said, I don’t think he has much of building a fully fleshed out album. Drunk is essentially just a compilation of songs. Some are bangers, some are not and some are just super short snippets. There is no flow or cohesion at all but if you pick out a few gems in the hay stack
