The vocalist has a unique voice and I like listening to music with a strong female presence. The album reminds me of something you might listen to while at a dive bar in the desert during the middle of the day. Favorites: - Private Life - Brass in Pocket - Mystery Achievement
If I could time travel to a moment of the past, it would be someone's living room playing this record for the first time when "Respect" comes on. A few songs in and I already know this album is a five. Easy listening in the background or sit and listen to every word Mrs. Franklin has to preach. Can't pick a favorite
Santana is very nostalgic for me as I grew up listening to the albums in my house. I would certainly play some of this album at a dinner party and others while driving cross country. Favorites - Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen - Samba Pa Ti
The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies and I love the use of "Changes" thematically in the film. I don't listen to David Bowie but I respect his contributions to music and appreciate his sense of optimism.
Immediately I had to do a deep dive on who takes inspiration from Brian Eno. The sounds of this album have to lend some inspiration to works of hyper pop. I was really surprised by this album and it scratched a itch. I could have done without some of the vocals and enjoyed the album instrumentally particularly the first track Sky Saw
I love soul funk and could listen to this album anytime. Think - Instrumental is gorgeous and Pusherman is a classic.
It's fine, I enjoy some songs but I wouldn't return to the album
I like the emotional instrumental and I'm generally a fan of singer-songwriter genre. It's a nice album to work with in the background
I think I'd have to be in a particular mood to listen to this. I have neutral feelings toward it
It's rainy where I am and this is exactly what I want to listen to. Favorites - The Body Breaks - Will is My Friend - Autumn's Child
I like City, Country, City but probably wouldn't revisit the album
I just watched Vanilla Sky and I knew this music sounded familiar haha. It's... very 90's
