The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Sep 16 2024

Candy Says: absolutely stunning lyrics and so well produced, not overly musical but a full emotional experience What goes on: hated the guitar riff Some kinda love: meh Pale blue eyes: brilliant opening lyrics. “Thought of you as everything I had, but, couldn’t keep.” (J, E, M) Murder Mystery: purity cool, and new wave like System of a Down meets she wants revenge

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Sep 17 2024

Very blah, I didn’t care much for it

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Sep 19 2024

Not impressed… We got the beat and Our lips are sealed are certified jams but the rest is filler music. Nothing very impressive and their guitar style is annoying. Great bass tone on Our Lips Are Sealed. Very Lorelei Gilmore vibes coming from this group though.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Sep 20 2024

Meh…I like acts like Mos Def and Lauren Hill and Nas more if I’m listening to this genre. The backing tracks including flute were beautiful though

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Sep 23 2024

Magnificent, one of the best of all time. Little green and the last time I saw Richard are classics I hadn’t yet heard and the studio version of California is a romp. River and All I want are of my favorite songs that bring me back to my teenage days

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Sep 24 2024

Awesome. A pioneer of American punk that I didn’t know went that hard at all!

Sep 26 2024

Great album, grew up on it. She deserved every Grammy she got and it’s a shame there isn’t more follow up to this thoroughly performed masterpiece

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Sep 27 2024

Great, liked her album before this more. It was happier and about family. This album seemed to be a tale of dark brooding love and sometimes it was painful to hear the music

1989 by Taylor Swift
Sep 30 2024

Good album, prefer Reputation, but this was the sound of the Harry Styles era for me. Beautiful pop. But nothing edgy

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Oct 02 2024

Very painful to listen to. Seems like an industry blow off of songs trying to capture the essence of much better artists like The Beatles and Burt Bacharach. Groovin’ and A Girl Like You are at least musically pleasant. But that drone on Find Somebody made me want to scratch my eyes out. I would not recommend this band.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Oct 03 2024

Finally some good original music. Gang of Four is so cool!!! Their bass game is strong and I’m loving how different they were in 1979. They talk about so many things but still stay musically relevant. I’m definitely going to listen again. Love love love.
