Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Sep 26 2024

This is an old album, it’s nearly 60 years old. And it sounds like it. This is from a different time period, and I tried to remember that fact as I listened. The harmonies are really nice. I get the message and the lyrics of most of the songs and the album, and if I was a young man in 1966, this would’ve been my fucking anthem. But today its age shows, it’s kinda boring. I didn’t enjoy most of it. I do appreciate the short length of the album, it truly reached the end of what my attention span can endure from an old whiney teenage anti culture ballad.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Sep 27 2024

Immediately, I love the range of her voice, the softness of the music in the background with the sharpness of her voice. I’m a fan. Joni will relax you with some sounds of nice comfort, then punch back with the depth of her voice and her lyrics. Beautiful album. Loved it

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Sep 30 2024

Kinda starting to wish I didn’t give the last album a 4…. Cause I enjoyed this way more than Joni… but I don’t want to give it a 5 either. That’s gotta be reserved for absolute bangers. Anyways my head was sore Friday afternoon from slightly head banging for an hour and a half or so. Good album. The popular songs are overplayed… but the rest of the album surprised me by how good it was.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Oct 01 2024

“Picture this” is an absolute BOP! My favorite song I haven’t heard before… so far on this adventure. “Heart of glass” is a true classic, a song I can listen to over and over. A lot of really great, timeless songs on this. Blondie is the shit

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Oct 03 2024

Absolute banger album. First 4 songs are great. We’ve got to move these refrigerators. Kinda gets boring near the end

Parklife by Blur
Oct 04 2024

Mehhhh. Wasn’t my favorite. A good song here and there. But not for me. British pop mehh

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Oct 09 2024

I liked it!! I think the live aspect was one of my favorite parts. The crowd gets into it which helped me get into it. Idk lol. Not usually my genre of music, but I enjoyed my time with this one

Stankonia by OutKast
Oct 11 2024

A lot of peoples favorite choice for most underrated rapper is Andre 3000 to the point where he isn’t really underrated anymore. I’d argue his counterpart Big Boi is way more underrated at this point. This album has everything. One of the best rap albums of all time. God I love OutKast. So nostalgic. Still amazing today

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Oct 14 2024

This is an album with just a girl and her piano, about as well as it can be done. It’s not the most interesting music in the world, but it is really nice on the ears. Norah Jones reminds me of my mom’s van. And for that I have to give it 4 stars.

All Directions by The Temptations
Oct 15 2024

I enjoyed it! Good background music while I worked haha

John Prine by John Prine
Oct 16 2024

One of the most influential country artists ever. Storytelling and lyricist savant. Country wouldn’t be what it is today without him. John Prine was one of the pandemics first “famous” victims. RIP! His music will live on forever!

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Oct 17 2024

Didn’t really love this album, but I didn’t really have any issues with it either.

Medúlla by Björk
Oct 18 2024

I couldn’t really stand this tbh. Had a hard time listening to really any of it. I understand why it’s cool, and why music nerds would like it, but it just wasn’t enjoyable for me. Which is the most important thing when it comes to music I enjoy.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Oct 21 2024

Okay. So yea. This is by far the best cover of Hallelujah in the history of our world. And will always be the best cover. It’s absolutely amazing. Was super excited to listen to the rest of this album, especially after I realized that Hallelujah was on this album. And the album did not disappoint. This was great. Some really touching and personal lyrics. The guitar is phenomenal. It’s a perfect length. His voice is fucking amazing. The highs and the lows, the changes of the pitch, the volume changes. The range that he shows on the guitar styles and the range of his voice is one of a kind. Wow. Whatever you do, don’t look up how he died. I got very sad :(. Another amazing artist who died way too young. There are many songs on this album I saved. I’ll be returning to listen to the full album many times in the future. This is why we are doing this journey!! To experience amazing and historical music we didn’t know existed!!

1984 by Van Halen
Oct 22 2024

Boring album. Even the two hit songs are boring now. Overplayed. Not for me

The Bends by Radiohead
Oct 23 2024

Yea. This is it. Absolutely loved this. Maybe it’s cause this came out slightly before the generation of music I grew up on. I don’t know how to really explain it, but all of the memorable music I remember from my childhood sounds like this album. And there are only three songs I truly remember from this album. You can just hear the alternative influences this album had for generations. This is literally exactly the kind of music teenage Wade listened to, and it isn’t done much better front to back then this album is.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Oct 24 2024

I thought I was a Radiohead fan. But idk if I can consider myself a big fan anymore. There were a few songs I did kind of like. Knives out is definitely the best one, but even then it wasn’t great. There were a lot of “songs” that can be described as noise lol. The songs I enjoyed don’t outweigh the songs I couldn’t get through…. Bummed I’m giving this a 2, but it’s only fair.

Drunk by Thundercat
Oct 25 2024

This album was kinda dope. I digged it. Didn’t realize it was somewhat modern until near the end too.

The Yes Album by Yes
Oct 28 2024

Yea this was solid. Groovy. I can’t really remember my specific thoughts because it was like 3 days ago

Diamond Life by Sade
Oct 29 2024

Yea this was everything you want in album. Smooth operator is such a bop, and the rest of the album is solid too. Wasn’t a song I didn’t like on the whole thing

I have no idea why, but on the first listen I really liked this album. It might have been because I woke up in a real good mood and listened to it… I saved 4 songs immediately from it. Skipped through the rest of it. Reminds me of someone that tried to do Michael Jackson’s vibe, but couldn’t quite replicate it. 3 stars. I loved 50% of this album, and the rest was just filler baloney. I listened to 4 songs on this album multiple times today, and enjoyed my time with them. Besides that it, the songs were repetitive and kinda cringey. I listened to those four songs a couple times today. They were good. The rest were terrible. In the order of my favorite Wishing well Dance little sister Sign my name If you let me stay Okay nvm. The four songs were enough for me. 4 stars.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Nov 01 2024

Oasis sucks and I’m starting to realize I really don’t like British pop

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Nov 08 2024

This was boring as all hell. The Beach Boys blow lol
