wasn't really paying attention because of homework and shit but this was the first Coldplay album I listened to and it was pretty cool. I enjoyed some of the softer stuff, and the composition of some of the songs subverted any expectations I had going in. I might give it a listen at some point in the future to try and really hear what they're saying. Adding to the liked songs for future shuffle.
It's not my usual genre, nor something I see myself casually listening to but I can recognize the weight this album must've carried with it when it first came out. I feel like I'm pretty desensitized to 'novel' music based on the way I'm inundated with media at all hours of the day, but listening under the context of its 1969 release date reveals some pretty profound statements and revolutionary sounds.
it was aight
I thought it was good but I'm pretty easily excited by albums that sound cute and lively like that. In hindsight, the lyrics weren't incredible and none of the songs were super memorable for me.
I lowkey wasn't listening because I was coding. Hotel California lmao.
