Purple Rain
PrinceForgot how funky Prince was in the early days. And how good a guitar soloist he was. Definite 4/5 for me. :)

I'm not much of a jazz listener, but Getz playing those latin samba rhythms are just wonderful. Had this playing in the background whilst doing a bit of house work. 5/5.
Beep. "We are the robots." This one was a bit trippy. I hadn't heard a lot of this before (save for "The Model") but I can see why this was such an influence for all the electronic music that followed. Very cool stuff, but I doubt it'll end up in my heavy rotation. Boop. As an aside, I played The Robots for Harriet. She was not impressed. :P
Much more bluesy than some of their other stuff. But not my favorite Doors album. "Roadhouse Blues" is a highlight - one of my favorite Doors tunes. And "Peace Frog" is a decent cut.
Great album. One of the best from the 80s. Will definitely be listening to this one again. 5/5
Loved the hits, but the deeper cuts weren't really doing it for me. Might have to give this one another listen. 4/5
Little Wing is a special song. But a lot of this was just ok. 3/5
This is an album I know well. Love it. This is quintessential Van Halen, before the addition of synthesizers. Just straight ahead guitar rock with EVH at his best. Running with the Devil, into Eruption, and then into You Really Got Me. Doesn't get better than that. Definitely 5/5.
Meh. Uninteresting. 2/5
First time listening to this. Like an acid trip set to music...in a good way. I liked this - the distinctly British lyrics, the weird organ sounds. Not my favorite Floyd album, but a solid 4/5.
Excellent album. Not as good as Unknown Pleasures, but excellent nonetheless.
This was an ambitious project and, in a lot of ways, it realized that ambition. Starts off great with a cohesive narrative and takes you on a ride. But it starts to lose momentum in the second half of the album. But that first half, though... Terrific. 4/5
Just not my jam at all
This started off pretty good. I had it on headphones while getting in a cardio session at the gym - let me zone out and the BPM was decent for running. Made it about half way through the album before it started to get repetitive. Then grating. Gonna say 3/5 for this one.
Enjoyed this. Very eighties pop. The album was pretty good, with a few hits and, arguably, one pop classic - Time after Time. 3.5/5
Great album. Loved the Celtic-fused sound - being from Eastern Canada, those sounds kinda speak right to my soul. Fisherman's Blues and We Will Not Be Lovers are great and are on the playlist going forward! Solid 4/5.
I think I listened to it. But I forget. 1/5
80s funk. Gotta love it. I enjoyed this - maybe not as much as the stuff with The Revolution. 4/5
A few tunes on here were good (Two Weeks, Southern Point), but the rest was sort of meh. Not offensive, but not really memorable either. 3/5
A couple of decent songs - especially like "There Goes the Fear. The rest were unobtrusive. 3/5
