In Utero
NirvanaAre the released and well known tracks that much better because they're just better - or because of nostalgia? Doesn't matter. Angsty teen energy in full effect and I want to live in that place again when I listen to this.

I don't know that I ever listened to this album, but I'm surprised how many songs I know by heart.
It mostly holds up, though my rating is largely based on warm ‘member-berries from when this album was in constant rotation.
Not their best album - but damn good.
Feels like an album that I'd appreciate more if I understood music theory better. ..but as the message is that which remains from the sending to the receiving...
I liked the song Tilted that showed up on another album, but all this? meh.
Understandable classic
They were helping establish the foundation of something new. The pieces and themes were all there, but distinct with raw flavors like an unmarried stew.
Oooohhhhh someone got a fancy new stereo-panning knob on their production board!!! Other than Seven Seas of Rhye, I was surprisingly unfamiliar with this album.
Respect for the lyricism... and I Want You has always felt like a surprise bop, but I've never really jived with Bob.
Ashamed to admit that Primal Scream was always one of those bands I was *aware of*, but didn't really know. This was great. "total vibe," as the kids might say.
Spent the listen clocking samples pulled for other songs and Michael McDonald's backing vocals. [This is fine]
classic and stands up
Don't understand how this is on the list. It reeks of desperate attempts to reclaim their earlier glory. The only impressive thing here is their perseverance in sticking to the 80s formula in the same year Nirvana's Nevermind blew it all up.
