I TRIED SO HARD to dislike this album. BUT IN THE END, IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER that I tried, because this album was quite good. Good punk album, would rate 4.5 stars if I could. :)
pretty good. a lot of bops on this record (wow fantano???!?!) anyways, i dislike how i cant give albums 4.5 stars. its either pretty good, or basically perfect. this def would get a 9/10. its fun. its very 80's, and doesnt really miss imo. some songs are better than others, inherently, but still a great listen nonetheless. :) you are now... DEPECHE! MODE! skibidi
this album is good. it has good songs. i like king kunta, that ones fun. this album also makes me feel racist, because im white. a piece of music that makes me feel something, thats special. this album is special. also the first dot album ive listened to in its entirety :) also pleeeeeease add a 4.5 star option or something
This album was much better than I thought it would be. Some good deep songs, as well as regular pop-y songs. Altogether, exceeded my expectations.
I love Radiohead so much, but this album is just a less good Pink Floyd album. Ok computer and the bends clears, so does in rainbows
This album was very different from what I usually listen to. 40+ minutes of pure instrumental jazz. And yet, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was nice to listen to something outside of my comfort zone. (would def give 3.5 if i could)
Really underwhelming. Some of the songs were ok, (every breath you take is great, obviously) but a pretty disappointing album. I expected better from the police.
I listened to this one. Definitely want to relisten someday, because I didn't really care for it when I listened. Gonna have to rate this 2/5, because I don't want to desaturate my current ratings. I liked the song "Save The Children". R&B more like BBQ
This album is actually quite good. The first and only The Smiths album I've listened to to date. I enjoyed it. Bigmouth Strikes Again and Frankly, Mr. Shankly are my two favourites
The first R.E.M. album I've listened to. I knew all of the best songs already, so it really wasn't anything too new. Still a solid album.
This album exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Every song is a banger. I never knew I liked funk this much. Highly recommend, great experience.
I actually really enjoyed this album. I had already heard some Elliott Smith before, and I knew that his music is similar to music I enjoy, but I’d never listened to a full album of his. And I’ve gotta say, I really liked it! This was a good album, with a bunch of nice, sadder songs. The music, and the instrumentals; amazing. Good work Elliott Smith, you put together a nice record.
Revolver by The Beatles is about as good as an album can get. So much depth, even within an album where all but 1 song don't even reach the 3 minute mark. It's truly incredible what these 4 guys were able to do. This record is so awesome. It has so many absolute bangers, with songs such as Taxman, which is just so fun; to Eleanor Rigby, a sadder song; to FREAKING YELLOW SUBMARINE? Yellow Submarine is the first Beatles' song I remember ever hearing, and it's still a banger in the decade+ I heard it for the first time. So many happy songs on this beautiful album, such as Love You To and Good Day Sunshine. This album is truly so good, that's all I can really say. It's not even my favourite album from The Beatles alone, if that's any indication as to how much I and so many other people love The Beatles. Obviously, I have bias, but you're not gonna find a better 35 minute album anywhere else. Revolver, by The Beatles, 10/10. Masterpiece.
The Bends is just a really really good album. Most, if not all of the songs on the album are amazing. I haven’t listened to Pablo Honey, but it’s amazing that Radiohead was able to put out such a banger, and then beat it with their subsequent album. To conclude, I really like this album. The Bends, Just, High and Dry; all of these songs stand out, and are near perfect. I really really like this album, and I honestly believe that it belongs on this list of 1001 albums you should hear before you die. The Brits have another W I guess
The Wall by Pink Floyd is one of the best albums ever recorded. For being one of the first ever concept albums, it sets the bar extremely high. The story told throughout the 1 hour and 20 minutes and 26 songs is as profound as it is wonderful to listen to. It's insane how many amazing songs are on this album. From Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2, which is their most popular song, to Comfortably Numb, to Mother to The Trial; so many great pieces. I just can't express enough how insane this album is, how revolutionary it was for the time. The Wall released in 1979, ending a 6 year long run where Pink Floyd released some of the best music ever composed. (Not to say albums such as Meddle aren't great, but The Dark Side of the Moon, into Wish You Were Here, to Animals, and ending with The Wall, fucking brilliant) In conclusion, yes, I am and will continue to glaze Pink Floyd. They are so peak, it's insane. If you haven't listened to The Wall yet, I legitimately believe that it will change your outlook on music permanently. Go listen to it right now. 1000000/10
The Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd is one of the most iconic albums of all time in a couple of different ways. On a surface level, the album cover is what catches the eye; the beam of light passing through the prism, coming out the other side as a rainbow. But that’s only the album’s cover. The 10 songs that make up the 42 minute runtime of DSOTM are some of the best songs of all time. With more popular hits such as Money and Time; to more instrumentally driven tracks like Speak to Me and On the Run and … Any Colour You Like. Every single track on this absolute masterpiece of an album is good. Literally every single one. Every non-instrumental track has lyrics as complex as the melody, or vice versa. Which is insane, because each track is so good in its lyrics and melody separately, but combining them to make an amazing song, let alone 10 whole bangers, is absolutely insane. I literally don’t know what to say. This album is a masterpiece. It’s not even my favourite Pink Floyd album, because I don’t know which one is, but you have to give props to one of the most famous and influential records of all time. The Dark Side Of The Moon, this one’s for you. I love you so so so very much.
