Are You Experienced
Jimi Hendrixfire front to back, runs together a hair but the individual songs all offer something excellent, mind bending even now

listened to Rumors for the first time not too long ago. this doesn’t quite match how ridiculously perfect that one was, but its length and the jumping between songs written by different band members add a new texture to this one. the Lindsay campfire songs are all bangers, and Stevie Nicks just completely takes over every time one of her songs arrive, shoutout Sisters of the Moon. Good starter album!
hate to be that guy but bohemian rhapsody is the best song here by a mile nothing comes even remotely close god bless america
first “i have no idea what this is” album of the project but it was fun! Robbins doesn’t have quite the same cultural foothold as, say, Johnny Cash, but it definitely speaks to something timeless about this album that so many of its songs have been used in modern media. Shoutout Breaking Bad
pretty dull sometimes but i like it more than i don’t
very obviously high quality with a really strong two song opening run, but I doubt that I’ll return to it much
goes hard! and in a really intriguing way too! was not feeling it at all initially but spotify stacking girl from ipanema at the beginning and end really revealed to me how much i had settled into the relaxed energy they’re working with here. definitely one for a revisit with a magaraita to see if i actually like it this much but great first listen
funky, going with a 3 for now because there were some misses and i don’t think i’ll be returning to it much but good listen! crab rave
gets a pass because it’s a best friend favorite and pretty entertaining all around but very much just not music for me. sorry to all my conservative metalheads i hope you’ll forgive me
counting crows but from the 60s, some good songs, probably a grower
classic, not my favorite beatles but still very good
80s soul bangers front to back, elevated by Anita’s wonderful presence. Wish it was on Spotify!
took a couple listens, not my personal favorite in this lane but still very beautifully composed, doesn’t overstay its welcome, joni’s voice is (mostly) great, banger season
killer first half and then it becomes a little too slow and drawn out for its own good. still a very interesting and clearly influential project!
first half has some interesting melodic ideas that don’t come together to form anything satisfying. second half mellows out a lot and becomes a lot better. solid overall
fire front to back, runs together a hair but the individual songs all offer something excellent, mind bending even now
white british guy in the 80s does proto hip hop that’s all stolen and is only really notable for the much better music it would inspire later on
repetitive but i liked those drums
