Diamond Life by Sade

Not a bad song on this. I could listen to this on repeat forever.

Low by David Bowie

Immediate replay for me. Initial listen while I was getting ready to go out, loved it immediately but I feel it’s an album that needs multiple listens. It’s Bowie being Bowie in the weirdest and best way. I can’t believe I’ve never heard a single track off this record. This was more of a 4.5 for me. Really wnjoyed, definitely will listen again in the future. This is a good one to find on vinyl.

On The Beach by Neil Young

Beautiful album. It’s making me nostalgic for something I never experienced.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Mar 21 2025

What am I gonna say? That I don’t like Led Zeppelin III? Like an insane person? This album has more of a bluesy/bluegrass feel to it than maybe their other stuff. Lots of great guitar stuff going on. And Robert Plant is Robert Plant. New finds/Standouts: Since I’ve Been Loving You Celebration Day Tangerine (duh) I’m glad this was the first one because I really do love Zep and I’ve been meaning to listen through their full discography.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Mar 22 2025

I liked the style of music but it was a bit too drum heavy for me (which I expected when I saw Ginger Baker and Live). Definitely the kind of album I could put on for some upbeat, energetic background music. I don’t know that I’d listen to this particular album again, but I’d check out some of the artist’s other work.

Low by David Bowie

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Mar 24 2025

Sometimes Jack White’s voice got on my nerves. Some of the songs felt repetitive. The White Stripes seem like a band I should be more into, but I just don’t really feel a connection to the music. That said, it’s still enjoyable to listen to, it just doesn’t really grab me. I do like the guitar on quite a few of the songs. I don’t know, it’s good but it’s not my favorite.

Revolver by Beatles
Mar 25 2025

I’m not even done yet and I already know this is a 5. Not a skip on the album. Love You To was a little too sitar-y for my personal taste. But who cares? It’s the Beatles. Do they have a bad song? No. I really enjoyed this album - a couple of my favorite Beatles songs are on Revolver. Eleanor Rigby gives me goosebumps every time, no matter how many times I’ve heard it. This album feels ahead of its time.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Mar 26 2025

I am going to admit that at first Janis Joplin’s whole deal was a little jarring. But then Piece of My Heart starts and you get into it and you kind of start grooving. I’ve always loved that song and Ball and Chain and the rest of the album is groovy too. A lot more country/bluesy on the rest of the songs too. I liked it. And great album cover.

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Mar 27 2025

Fun trumpet-y jazz. Jazz isn’t my favorite genre but I’m getting into it. This was a good one to put on and do some work.

Mar 28 2025

Yeah I like this! I’ve never been a particularly big Dylan fan because I never really made the effort to listen to more of his music. But I’m getting a little more into folk! So I‘m glad to have listened to this. It’s definitely one I’d replay. Sounds like it would be good for driving down country roads with the windows open. I’m a fan!

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Mar 30 2025

Okay so this one doesn't have a ton of songs that I remember when I'm not actively listening to it but I enjoy it a lot when it's playing, you know? So I'm giving it a 4 but it's really a 3.5 maybe? I'll round up for this one.

Soul Mining by The The
Mar 31 2025

Pretty good but didn’t totally grab me. Some standouts like Uncertain Smile.

Diamond Life by Sade
Apr 01 2025

Not a bad song on this. I could listen to this on repeat forever.

Take Me Apart by Kelela
Apr 02 2025

I liked it! Not my typical favorite genre but it was fun and a lil sexy

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Apr 03 2025

Ooh, this is weird! I like it.

Apr 04 2025

Surprised how much I liked this. Definitely set a calming kind of romantic 70s mood. Ideal for playing while working or cleaning or cooking with a lover ;)

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Apr 05 2025

Oh wow I can't believe I've never listened to Arcade Fire. I'm a fan! Definitely something I'd put on again and really listen to the lyrics next time.

On The Beach by Neil Young
Apr 26 2025

Beautiful album. It’s making me nostalgic for something I never experienced.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Apr 29 2025

Hell yeah I love ELO!!

Harvest by Neil Young
Apr 30 2025

Some bangers and some stuff I didn’t love because it felt like the vibe was jumping around.
