1001 Albums Summary

Such a cool album! I never really got into disco, so this is a huge departure for me. I really loved the first song, it really sets the tone for the whole album. I did feel like some of the songs were a little bit too subdued, almost like they were trying to showcase one of the sister’s voices and it didn’t showcase the entire band. I’m so happy this album popped up today, it makes me want to go listen and explore more disco. I can’t wait until we get to some Diana Ross.

Frankly not my jam. I know a lot of people really like this album but I don’t get it. I might try listening again somewhere down the line.

Not what I expected. Did not hear one hit on this album. Would probably never listen to it again.

At first, I thought I was really gonna like this one. So Young has a cool chord change that hooked me. But the more I listened the more they got off track. I feel like the production is very poor on this album. And I feel like they were all over the place. I wonder if a lot of drugs were involved during the making of this album. Albums like this make me want to research the band to understand how they went sideways because it seems like they had a lot of potential. I just don’t know anything about suede. Cool album cover art though.

Amazing album! Almost feels like a greatest hits album. There are so many chart toppers on this one. The one thing that I didn’t care for is that the songs that weren’t hits aren’t that great.

I had heard one other Badly Drawn Boy album. This one sounded cool, but was kinda too all over the place for me and too long. Still fun to listen to something new.

This album was badass!!! What a trip! Wish I spoke French. Super cool and sexy.

A very important album for me during a very important time of my life. Cant really describe the feelings when I listen to this album.

Very soulful singer. I thought the record sounded vintage without any modernity. I was expecting more. Sounded like she was simply trying to recreate a Motown album.

Very cool UK rap. Great beats and very viby! Never heard of Skepta before. Will def listen to more.
