I generally hate hip hop but this was a bit more interesting. Id have given it 3 stars but my wife loves DJ Shadow and told me I had to give it 4 or else...

Unlistenable boring drivel.

Elephant overflows with quality -- it's full of tight songwriting, sharp, witty lyrics, and judiciously used basses and tumbling keyboard melodies that enhance the band's powerful simplicity. They've succeeded at mixing blues, punk, and garage rock in an electrifying and unique way. On these terms, Elephant is a phenomenal success.

I love Ray Charles’ voice but I really struggle with big band music. if you’re a fan of the genre I can see that it’s considered a Classic and man that guy can sing!! Lille of the quieter songs I liked like Just For The Thrill. So not for me but I can see why it’s revered.
