Hearing this album made me wonder how life was during this time. I imagined the fashion and swagger men had listening to music like this. While I didn't particularly like the more fast paced tracks the ones with a slower beast really had me in a mood. I never listened to a Count Basie album but I wouldn't count it listening to another.

From the first to the last track the sound had a nostalgic ring to it. It reminds me of an 80's movie intro of some high school coming off age music. It was very calming. Even my 14 year old daughter knows about this group.
