1001 Albums Summary

I enjoy most of it, but it's just too much music for it to be getting a higher score than three stars. Cut the album in half and you'll have a four star album, closing in on five. Overall I enjoy The Love Below more than Speakerboxxx and I generally enjoy the more experimental material over the more traditional hip hop material.

Not bad per se, but not my thing at all. Some nice groove, but it gets repetitive.

No one that didn't hear this back in the day needs this. A couple of classics, but no need to listen again.

A breeze to listen through. A bunch of classics. Albeit over saturated, still great songs. A real solid listen! Closer "Misstra know-it-all" is fantastic.

Reggae is not my thing. Unbearable in the long run.

Great mix of new wave and reggae. A few true classics. Some of the Copeland-songs are a little weaker.

Holds up after over 30 years. Sounds as fresh and relevant as ever. Really groovy and laid back. Something kinda jazzy in the execution.

More interesting, experimental and diverse than I originally thought. Song 2 is still, despite being overplayed, a banger!

Lush and smooth. But the formula gets a little old a little too quick with the fancy music and the, at first, "normal" lyrics that turns slightly absurd halfway through.

Influential, but basically unbearable...

When I like the instrumentals I dislike his delivery, and when I like his delivery I dislike the instrumentals. Too circus/horror-influenced. The music doesn't hold up.
