Graceland
Paul SimonSolid story telling, fun melodies. Sounds I’m not familiar with, but can groove to. Finally know who made that one hit I hear on the radio all these years. (You can call me Al)

The funk is real on this one. Starts off with the banger, "Shining Star" being the most famous song of the album. Slows you down with a soft, but still funky 2nd track, and speeds up majorly on "Happy Feelin'". "Reasons" might be one of my new favorite love songs. Album is also a constant reminder on why saxophones are great. "Africano", dude, pure funk at it's finest, my favorite song of the album by far. Would give this another listen, looking forward to hearing some of their other work.
Cruise control on this one. Zombie brought the funk!
So good, had to run it back.
Was not going to listen at first considering the groups reviews but I'm glad I did. I love the circus feel this album brings, fun is the best way I can describe it. The guitar sounds on "Thank God It's Not Christmas", rips. It's a cut, but they remind me a little of Arcade Fire, just a little! Wrap it up with a live performance at their prime, I liked it.
Groovy, funk, early 70's culture. Chameleon will live till the end of time. Pass the..
Do you like Jazz? Well this is the album for you!
OH BOY! Album feels like I'm at a NJ diner, with my boo thang, slicked back hair, smoking a cig, in the 50's. It's a cute album, considering everything that's come afterwards. You can't deny it's influence on other artists. Is this what an Elvis album sounds like?
This album is my introduction to Joni Mitchell. I've heard of the name, know the impact and influence of her music, and still, never listen to a song of hers, that I know of. I mean the story telling, off the rip is above par. Been noticing a lot of 70's, 80's music have a lot of story telling in general. Mix of sounds, wasn't even sure what time of ROCK to label this album. Soothing voice, takes you away. Slow album, you're not head banging to this one but you might be taking a nice walk to the park,
Wow. Is this emo/indie? Either way, my kinda lane. Can hear a hint of INTERPOL, in songs like Marquee Moon and Friction. The last track of the album, Tom Curtain, wrapped it up nicely. Will listen to this again.
shits good. Pretty sure I've heard THE KILLING MOON on the radio somewhere. My Kingdom is a jam.
I loved this. Last song sounds a little goofy for a "motivating" track but besides that, album was a banger. Sounds like I'm in a dark ass room, dancing my ass off, sipping on gin, hands up and everything.
RIO. Everyone knows HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF! MY OWN WAY is a new favorite for me and man, I forget how GREAT of a song SAVE A PRAYER is.
