My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts
Brian EnoMy all time number one cleaning album
My all time number one cleaning album
Strong medicine to change my mood and level my heartbeat. I often put this on while my students work.
What a lovely album. Guess Iโm a foppish British gentleman now
Not my favorite Stevie record but it does have They Wonโt Go When I Go, which is my number one Sad Stevie song. Heaven Is Ten Zillion Light Years Away is my other favorite. My love of that song was one of the reasons for my divorce.
I donโt want to focus on the negative, BUT I learned that you can hide songs by right-clicking on Student Demonstration Time and never having the chance of listening to it again. What an incredible album. I instantly listened to it twice this week after Brian Wilsonโs passing, once in headphones and once through my beat up vinyl copy. Both sounded great in different ways. Please play Feel Flows at my funeral.
There is no way I will listen to this ever.
This record is so pretty. As someone raised in church, the layers of harmonies are warm quilts to wrap up in. What a nice world to step into for 39 minutes. After internet research on who the problematic brother character might be, I took a nap. I hope the brother is doing okay somewhere.
Probably better in headphones on a walk. Will revisit. My cat loved this album.
Would visit the chicken shack again
Iโm three months into a one year snooze of this record because I wore it out in my ears. Maybe Your Baby thoughโฆ may break it early
Challenging and super rewarding. Step into the Emotional Thunderdome with Bjรถrk!
I think itโs because I love Jeff Buckleyโs music so much that all I hear is a deadbeat dad singing dumb poems. Once I Was is pretty good though.
If this album had a texture, it would be tinfoil, glitter and dried tears stuck with honey to an amplifier.
Loved it while listening in company. Will come back to it
When Salads and Sunbeams performed this whole thing, it was the most perfect combination possible. The French horn in the title track makes me cry every time. My vinyl copy is so bad, but I love it more than most things.
Between this album and Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk, it's a good thing I don't know where to get heroin.
