Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
May 16 2025

Very nostalgic, makes me think of my Aunt and Uncle and Grandparents. I'm not a huge fan of jazz in general but I do like the Bossa Nova style, especially in the right setting, like making dinner. Stan Getz has a nice sound. I'll probably listen to this again in specific situations.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
May 19 2025

A little too frenetic and disconnected for me. Sort of irritating in general. I couldn't finish this album.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
May 20 2025

Upbeat and interesting. I prefer the tracks without vocals.

May 22 2025

Pleasant. The sound is dated, not necessarily in a bad way, but also not something that I grew up listening to so it isn't nostalgic either. It's interesting that something that was once cutting edge now feels old fashioned. Similar to the Beatles but lacking something, possibly just my familiarity. I like the guitar melodies, and the instrumental parts. I liked Draft Morning.

The La's by The La's
May 23 2025

A lot of the songs are quite similar. A bit of a jam, and I could see that if this was something you grew up listening to it would be fun. Overall the songs aren't very interesting or engaging. Except "There She Goes" which might be too engaging 😆

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
May 26 2025

I was somewhat disappointed by this album, since I am a fan of Simon and Garfunkel generally. I love their harmonies. I assume that a big reason that I prefer the other albums is because I didn't listen to this one growing up. I really like a few of the songs like Homeward Bound and The 59th Street Bridge Song, and a new one for me is Dangling Conversation. A lot of the other songs didn't do much for me.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jun 02 2025

I loved this album, it has good variety, and songs that stick with me.

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
Jun 04 2025

I probably won't listen to this again, but it was interesting and somewhat enjoyable
