“I got a broken faaaace” lol I always dug the unrefined punk sound of the pixies. Sometimes the melodies of the vocals is too weird to work for me. Other times it works just right. Gigantic is a solid song I’ve never heard before. Drummer has a great feel and lays down some solid grooves you can bob your head to. Never does too much. Obviously where is my mind is a song I’ve always dug. Digged? 🤷 I could see smashing punkins getting influenced by these guys. Not sure if that’s accurate. Over all they sound very original to me and it’s a fun listen. First pixies album I’ve listened all the way through
Album starts with some heaters and I was vibing but quickly got stale for me after that. Drum parts weren’t very interesting and felt stiff. Can respect the fact they inspired many to come
Straight 2hrs of boom bap beats. I get beastie boys vibes from all the sampling. I know him from nobody speak but that’s about it. Wouldn’t add this type of music to the rotation but it was a chill listen to and from work.
Iconic album. Love all these songs. Ringos drumming is iconic. The song writing is just top tier. Love the Beatles
Big gorilla’s fan so I listened to this album a while back to see what blur is all about. I wasn’t super impressed at the time, but I enjoyed it a lot more this time around. It was a nice easy lesson, but I won’t be adding any of these songs to my rotation. I hear a little bit of the Gorillaz and boys and girls which I thought was kind of cool.
Actually liked this album. Never heard of this band before. Very interesting vocals and song writing with a good rock band behind them

I love this album. I first heard bloody roots on drumeo when Eloy was on (current slipknot drummer). I thought it was really cool that you could hear their Brazilian roots and some of the more tribal sounding songs. Eloy really talked about the different Brazilian rhythms, so I was listening for that throughout the whole album. I can see how they inspired a lot of modern metal bands, like slipknot and Kubli Khan, etc. definitely gonna put a few of these songs in the rotation

Love this album. I’ve listened to it front to back probably 5 times now. Def one of my top rap albums of all time.
Enjoyed this album while having a long drive back home through a stormy night. Perfect setting for it. Not sure I would’ve enjoyed it as much otherwise. As a bit of a Sturgill Simpson fan, this album reminds me a lot of him. I’m sure he was inspired by Willy. Added Georgia on my mind and unchained melody
