1001 Albums Summary

Was a good listen. Some of the songs had great jam sessions

I respect the artist and the song writing but I just can’t dig Cat.

Always been one of my favorite albums. There’s not a single skip song

Pretty much read the tea leaves on the state of neofascism in the country way back in 2003. I like how almost every song is interconnected with some sort of theme that’s consistent throughout the album.

Two stars. Kinda like the Cat Stevens of 80s/90s synth pop. It’s such a sleepy album to me.

In 2003, I thought this album was the peak of hiphop creativity and wondered if anything would ever be as creative. I may have been mostly correct.

Way more appreciation for The Beach Boys after listening to this album. I always thought they were a 60’s version of a boy band.

Great listen. The second half is so good with experimental/avant-garde stuff that I never knew Bowie had made.

25 years later, I just can’t listen to this one. Am I old yeah. But that shouldn’t matter. I can still listen to other 20+ year old hip hop albums. This one is just too much for me. Two stars since I do recall it’s got some good beats and rhymes (even if it’s absolutely vulgar).

Great album from an early punk band I never knew of. Glad I heard this.

Not overwhelmingly amazing or ground breaking but a good album. Love the ambient rock stuff.

Couple of epic hits with Sorry Miss Jackson, BoB, and So Fresh and So Clean. Gasoline Dreams is really good too. After that it tapers off a bit and not as revolutionary as SpeakerBox/Love Below.

I don’t like solemn British new wave bands. At all.
