I really enjoyed this album. I don’t know if the words jazzy or progressive make sense here, but it was a fun and playful listen with some absolute bangers on it. Take it for what it is, their second studio album (apparently?) and you’ll understand how this is paving the way for some of the great hits that came after. Still, on its own and without the context of the future music that Steely Dan produced, this album is worth a listen.
