Duran DuranWell, the singles are still fine. Nothing else memorable and every song seemed to get to the point of just repeating the chorus very quickly. Definitely a band to stick to the greatest hits, based on this

I'd never heard the originals of court of the crimson king or schizoid man before. It's an interesting album - bit too jazzy for me. It's a proper album though - not meant to be separated. I like that and I feel it would grow on me
Just not for me. I'm glad I have finally listened to a whole Radiohead album. I don't need to do so again.
Just not my thing. Background music
No
That's a lot of good songs. It's hard this one, because it's great but I wouldn't choose to listen to it. 3.5 I reckon.
Ah, my 12th favourite Sabbath album. I get that it's massively influential, but it's just a bit dull, especially the lesser known tracks. Also, i think Ozzy was the worst singer Sabbath had.
I reckon this was great at the right time. Some dreadful lyrics though
If anyone is actually reading these, that Sabbath response was written at the end of 2 hours chugging through Dover to get to the ferry. Should have given it at least 3, maybe 4. Anyway, 'Reign in Blood' was influential in its day and it does a few limited things very well, but it just highlights for me how much better those early Metallica and Megadeth albums were. 'South of Heaven' is a much better Slayer album to try. I can't imagine choosing to listen to this. 'Master of Puppets' came out in the same year and is light years ahead. This app is starting to get me down. I like loads of music in various genres, but none of the stuff this app keeps choosing!
Interesting. Never listened to this because I didn't like the title. I think that with a different vocalist I'd be giving this a higher score. Not keen on the way he strains his voice for emphasis; it's better on the slower tracks.
I like some of this. Darling Nikki remains the least sexy song of all time though!
Finally a 5. I was going to go 4 because the follow up, Rocks, is better, but it's only a 1-5 scale after all. Seen them live 3 times, and oddly enough that includes one of the best and one of the worst concerts I've attended.
It's ok. I quite like the whole interplanetary angle.
I was surprised how much I liked this. And the theme to Death in Paradise!
It's good, but they got better
Not bad. Rachel filled me in on her tragic relationship history.
See, I remember listening to this when it came out. Track 1 was awesome, and then it seemed like everything else wasn't as good. This time, I'm much more impressed. Great voice.
I can't really get into earlier Dylan stuff, but from here on its great. Joan Baez did a better version of Simple Twist of Fate though.
Just a bit dull
I was into hair metal in the 80s, but I just never found VH that catchy. Second star is for Ain't Talking Bout Love, though, which is awesome.
I tried, and it sounds like a cliche, but both listens I didn't notice when the album had ended
It is clearly brilliantly crafted. I just don't like listening to it. It feels like a 90 minute panic attack
Bizarre that in a youth mostly spent listening to Maiden and Metallica, this album made such an impression on me. I still keep coming back to it.
