Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners

Very boring, and actually kind of annoying. I'm surprised it's on this list.

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Jul 15 2025

Sounded unique since its not Western music. Not bad at all but not my taste.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Jul 16 2025

Sounds like funky elevator music, or hipster coffee shop music.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jul 17 2025

My favorite Temptations songs aren’t on this Album. Good evening background music, but actively listening to it nothing stands out much.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Jul 18 2025

HEE-HEE! I like thriller much better.

Dookie by Green Day
Jul 19 2025

Really solid 3/5. Fun listen. Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case, & When I Come Around are timeless classics, a lot of the rest of the album drags for me, especially near the end. “She” has a neat opening base line that I haven’t heard before.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Jul 20 2025

Amazing that Bowie made this Album while he knew he was dying. It comes through in the music, so haunting.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Jul 21 2025

Never heard before. Love the guitar riffs on the first song. The singing kinda reminds me of The Talking Heads.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jul 22 2025

I loved the Beastie Boys in high school, but I've really lost my taste for them since then. They have some really cool beats and sounds. I like the Zeppelin samples.

Pink Flag by Wire
Jul 23 2025

Very punky and groovy, but not really my taste. I’d give a 2.5.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

This came up as my album the day after Ozzy died. This Album doesn’t have the biggest hits, but it’s more cohesive and psychedelic than other Sabbath albums.

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Jul 25 2025

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the genre “Noise Rock”. Not bad, actually pretty good. Almost sounded like electronic music. Had a very psychedelic element to it that I liked.

War by U2
Jul 26 2025

Love Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Year's Day. The rest doesn't stand out much to me.

The song Starman is singularly responsible for getting me back into rock music in my mid-teens after hearing it in "The Martian". I will be forever thankful to Bowie for saving me from modern music. Bowie isn't just one of the best musicians of all time, he's one of the most creative artists of all time. This album will always be a 5/5 for me.

Jul 30 2025

Love this album. Dave Mustane still acts salty about getting kicked out of Metallica, but I think it’s the best thing that ever happened to him, and one of the best things to ever happen to Metal. We got 2 incredible but very different Metal bands out of his departure.

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Jul 31 2025

Sounds like Busch Gardens music. I feel like I can't give these African Albums a fair shake since I know nothing about the culture and don't speak the language. I did like this one more than Djam Leelii. It is good but I'm rating based on my own taste.

Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners
Aug 04 2025

Very boring, and actually kind of annoying. I'm surprised it's on this list.

Aug 05 2025

Not my favorite or even the best Beatles album. But it’s the Beatles. You can tell acid was an influence here. My favorites on this album are Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!, Within You Without You, A Day In The Life.

Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh
Aug 06 2025

I don’t like Indie Rock. Getting tired of all these bad albums on this list.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Aug 07 2025

Pretty good.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Aug 09 2025

What happened to Hip Hop? This is so cool, having guitar riffs in hip hop is awesome. However, I’m not sure I’ll ever give a hip hop album more than 4/5 stars. So 3 stars it is.

More Specials by The Specials
Aug 10 2025

Ska is cool. This was unmemorable. Doubt I'll ever listen to it again.

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Aug 11 2025

Just so angsty and the singing is kinda annoying. Sounds like something a 12 year old would listen to and think it's deep. Its like a 90s version of Olivia Rodrigo.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Aug 12 2025

Pretty good with a few really catchy songs. But there’s much better rock music from this time period.

Coles Corner by Richard Hawley
Aug 13 2025

Quite depressing, and not in a good way.

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Aug 14 2025

The tunes were ok. The singing was annoying, kind of reminded me of the Velvet Underground but not as good.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Aug 15 2025

Just kinda vibey 80s, but not really memorable.

Arrival by ABBA
Aug 16 2025

Dancing Queen is great, the rest of the album is good but just not really memorable. 2.49 / 5 stars.

Atomizer by Big Black
Aug 17 2025

I was annoyed after one and a half songs so I shut it off.

Aug 18 2025

Real good slow country album. I prefer his older stuff but I like this one and really love the covers, especially Personal Jesus.

Oct 10 2025

In the past, this was my favorite Pink Floyd album, and I would've given this 5 stars, now its only a 4 for me. These days I prefer Animals, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall over this one. But this is one of the best albums of all time. Time, Money, and Breathe are my favorite songs on the Album. Undoubtedly the most iconic album cover of all time.

Oct 11 2025

The first 2 songs are iconic, after that the album sort of falls off for me. 2.49 stars.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Oct 12 2025

Its annoying I don't like it. I only made it through the first 2 tracks.
