The most important metal album of them all. Metal doesn't exist without this. Grunge sounds very different without this. Ozzy, Tony, Geezer, and Bill marched into a studio and changed everything about rock and roll music, and I'm not just saying that because Ozzy died the day before I wrote this.

This and The Strokes gave us hope in the darkest days of Britney and N*Sync. Fell In Love With A Girl on MTVu in the college cafeteria brings back the memories.

Plup might have written the best Britpop song of them all in Common People, but Oasis had a 1-2 all time killer combo in Definitely Maybe and What's The Story Morning Glory. 5 stars no skips from an xennial this album was made for.

i get it, pavement is supposed to be the end all be all of indie, but it's just good, not 5 star great.
