Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Aug 13 2025

I can appreciate music that puts you in a different world. i can appreciate the complexities of electronic music. It does not mean i like to listen to it

The vocals suck and that's great for the album. It sounds completely raw, like its so simple, but everything comes together so well musically. The lyrics are fun too, if you can get past how cringe they can be with how their whole identity is angry and people suck and shock value. Highlight was Holiday in the Sun, but got real tired of the repetitiveness of each song quick. I get this is a big influential album, but not my thing

Bossanova by Pixies
Aug 15 2025

Cecilia Ann, what an opener. Feels like the intro to a western movie, but put it in space. Its a fast album, with short songs. Velouria is great, i love how it goes between heaviness and quiet throughout. Used to listen to a good bit of Muse, and I feel like a lot of their influences came from this album. Ending of the happening is exactly the same as "I love you" by Fontanes DC.

The love below reminded me of Prince in some parts. The jazz remix of favorite things was fun. Speakerboxxx was fun and quick. Lyrics were great throughout. The interludes were funny as well

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Jul 22 2026

Banger, banger, banger, banger, banger. No misses. I was boogieing at my standup desk all morning. HEHE

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Jul 23 2026

Gotta love a mean organ and heavy guitars. Fast album to do some minor head banging too. I can't imagine hearing this in 1970 where nothing like this existed and just being blown away. No wonder the satanic panic started. And wow Child in Time, what a jam in the middle. Living Wreck having a lion or tiger call as an instrument is awesome too.

I had no idea what to expect with this album even though I know the band and iconic cover. Once the explosion in schizoid man I got hooked. Their ability to build up and then payoff with something so strong is so fun in this song. I appreciate a horn section a lot more now. I talk to the wind and epitaph is genuinely such a pretty song. Moonchild was way too art rock for me. Court of the crimson king, the song, was powerful, the weird whistle was dumb lol. Beautiful music but not an everyday listen.

Celebrity Skin by Hole
Jul 27 2026

I didn’t dislike it but it just wasn’t that great. Nothing stood out to me that a lot of other rock albums have done and they don’t do it better. Malibu was a good pop rock song. I also just don’t like Courtney loves lyrics, and the vocals are good. Northern Star is lowkey insufferable. Boys on the radio and playing your song are great. Good grunge

Not the fan of this era of rap beats with the heavy record scratching, but the raps are great and its fun listening to the members play off of each other. It also feels like there is always a point being made, largely about empowerment, which is sick even though its hard to follow with the record scratching. Appreciate it, but not my thing

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jul 29 2026

White boys yelling gets really old. i hate the back and forth call outs it gets real annoying. The rock-rap fusion for the beats are fun. I dont think this stands the test of time compared to other rap albums of the era. I am just not a fan

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Jul 30 2026

Just so good. Super simple with the acoustic guitar and vocals taking center stage. I really enjoyed the lyrics and story of Across the Lines and Behind the Wall. Fast Car is a classic. Mountain o things was a bop, Why was damn good. I just think this album is beautiful

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Jul 31 2026

Great lyrics, good riffs. Really fun 60s psychedelia. John riley was a great one.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Aug 03 2026

Big and heavy 70s hair metal, super fun. Dancing in the moonlight is a great song. The vocals are so good. Still in love with you is beautiful and has a great solo. The more i listen to the album the more blues rock it gets, which is awesome, especially Baby Drives me Crazy. Plus, they are Irish

C'est Chic by CHIC
Aug 04 2026

I love some disco, and this is some great disco. It wasn't anything incredibly just some good tunes to boogie to.

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Aug 05 2026

I love this era of post-punk "i am a sad british white boy" music, but have never listened to this band. The shoegaze guitar sound (or whatever its called) is great and I really like the vocals, sounds like he's always yearning for something. Really good bass sound, super heavy. I really liked the riff in Rescue and piano riff in Villiers Terrace

Punishing Kiss by Ute Lemper
Aug 06 2026

No this sucks why was this included

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Aug 07 2026

Got very excited for this one, I had a VU phase in HS. They really are a band that laid the groundwork for everything to come after it. Despite that, some of this is hard to listen to. The Gift is spoken word with distorted guitars, not great, but the instrumental jam is good in isolation. Here she Comes Now was good, i like the wind instruments coming in and the guitar parts. sister ray was a good jam. Now a lot of this is just noise, which is why i cant like it. Appreciate it, dont like it

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Aug 10 2026

i love green river, the song. The whole album is great southern rock. no complaints.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Aug 11 2026

very pretty, but it was a lot of lullabys. Not my jam. But the more i listened the more i enjoyed it. So long Marrianne is a great song
