Really not a genre I vibe with - finding it difficult to listen to a lot of it. Some of it bangs though.
The mix of languages is neat, I guess. The sampling is quite cool. Unfortunately, the fact remains that I just don't like this sound. It's only when it strays away from Latin somewhat that I start to enjoy it.
Did sometimes find myself wiggling my hips subconsciously. It got rhythm for sure.
Fav tracks (or rather, tracks I actually enjoyed somewhat) - Bongo Bong, Mama Call
Smooth.
Fav tracks - Papa Was a Rolling Stone, Mother Nature
Added to library - Mother Nature
Heard a lot about this one!
It's very well put together, immaculately produced but I just don't really vibe with this style of hip-hop.
Fav tracks - Memory Lane
Don't know shit about blues.
It's not bad per se, just sounds very samey to me. A lot of the songs seem to go on far too long. Vocals are really good, fit the vibe perfectly.
Fav songs - none. They all just blend together.
Look, I'm really not a fan of this kind of country. Or country in general, to be honest. I love the vibes of this album, the sound of the inmates, Cash speaking between songs and so on. But I just can't help but find the music itself to be completely dull
Not a huge fan of grunge - just sounds muddy to me.
Fav track - Alive
Pretty digestible stuff. Nothing really standing out.
Fav tracks - Love Lives Here
So far on this project, even if I don't vibe with the particular genre of an album, I've at least understood why it's on the list. Not with this one though. It's not bad, but there's nothing at all that stands out about it - just a pretty standard post-punk album.
Fav tracks - Some Things
Very listenable. Some real bangers, but a lot of mid stuff in between.
Best tracks: You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' on a Prayer
No opinion, really. First track sounds like a budget version of Sultans of Swing.
Pretty listenable. Second last track is really jarring.
Never listened to Morrisey's solo stuff before. Sounds p much like more Smiths, but that's not a bad thing.
Fav Tracks - Everyday is Like Sunday, Bengali in Platforms
Added to Library - Everyday is Like Sunday, Bengali in Platforms, Suedehead
I like her voice, but the songs are just so dull and samey, no real hooks or anything to make me pay attention. The only song I liked was the one with Thom Yorke.
Fav track (already in library) - This Mess We're In
Really fun! Feels like he's throwing a lot of stuff at the wall, and while a lot of it doesn't stick, it's generally pretty listenable.
Fav tracks - The Vanishing Spies, Speedy Marie, Headache
Added to Library - Speedy Marie, Headache
Some good covers, but the fact remains that I don't like Johnny Cash's music, or this style of country in general.
Love me some vocal harmonies.
Fav tracks - Monday, Monday, Got a Feelin', California Dreaming
Got some great moments, but I'm not a fan of grunge in general.
Great stuff.
Already in Library - You're My Best Friend, 39, Love of my Life, Bohemian Rhapsody
Added to Library - Death on Two Legs
