Steely DanLoved the variety of instrumental styles even within a single song. Great first album to listen to! 7/10

I had such high hopes for this! There are David Bowie songs that I love and grew up listening to. The music was great, I love how unique the 70s-80s era was. My complaint is that I quite literally didn’t understand a single word of what he was singing. Is it bc he’s British?
When I saw her name I was so excited for Son of a Preacher Man. I haven’t heard any of her other stuff. She has a very soft voice to be backed by horns and strong vocalists, not my favorite thing. I wish her songs had a wider variety of themes. Still a great album!
This was a fun one! His voice takes some getting used to, but I loved the variety of the songs. I honestly don’t know why I haven’t listened to more Springsteen, I listen to this genre and this era a lot!
Ya know what? Not the worst thing I’ve heard. I was really dreading this bc I know this isn’t my genre. However, I can appreciate the easy listening and meaning behind the lyrics Bob Marley sang. I won’t continue listening to this, but I can appreciate it more!
This album was meh. I felt like I was listening to a musical all the way through, which I’m not sure a band named Meatloaf intended to happen
I like an album that have have a banjo, dobro, harmonica, and bongo drums all in one. Vibes were good, I just don’t like his voice. It is Willie Nelson-ish and I’m not a fan
8 year old Bethany knew nearly all of these songs by heart. It was nostalgic and reminded me of working with my dad growing up. I just really wish the Beatles never discovered the sitar or backmasking. They got weird.
I honestly forgot I was listening to this halfway through the album. It’s someone’s ~cup of tea~ but not mine. There wasn’t a song that really stood out, I just feel like it was there for background music. Not bad, not my favorite.
Similar thoughts to yesterday’s album. I could take it or leave it. It’s just not my thing.
I listened to about half of it. There were some cooler songs but it’s just hard for me to connect w this type of music. I can appreciate it though!
I’ve been behind on these! Whoops! This one was funky and I liked the beats. I don’t like her voice though
I really liked this! She reminds me of a pop Carrie Underwood. This was just an interesting album through and through
Good vibes!! Even if I don’t listen to this every day, it itched my brain in a way modern music doesn’t. So 90s, so girl!
Will always be one of my favorite albums. I love The Who. Track 1 is the ultimate opener to an album
