Kanye West8.6/10 FANTASTIC story telling. amazing production. catchy and influential. truly a goated album
8.6/10 FANTASTIC story telling. amazing production. catchy and influential. truly a goated album
5.6/10 pretty solid, just barely finished the album, but really not my style of music. good tho
7.8/10 surprised how much i liked this album. definitely not my typical genre, but i loved another album of theirs, so maybe i shouldn’t be so surprised. they have such a unique sound to me, in vocals and in lyrics. always a fun time. loved this
8.6/10 FANTASTIC story telling. amazing production. catchy and influential. truly a goated album
6.4/10 very listenable. i enjoyed a handful of songs, but its just not my preferred genre. but definitely not horrible. found it interesting how short all the songs were. can’t tell if i liked that or not
5.4/10 didn’t really enjoy it, only felt connected to maybe one or two songs, but managed to get through it in a single sitting. i did like how a lot of the songs were mainly instrumental, however. i’ve heard better from the cure for sure
8.8/10 i. love. jazz. i’ve always loved jazz, but have yet to explore this classic genre. always a good time, fantastic album. trumpets are great
7.9/10 groovy was right. i enjoyed the album a lot. i haven’t actually explored this genre and period of music, always i’ve always known i would enjoy it. thinking of exploring this band some more. amazing vibes and great playing, though the lyrics were a tad weak for me; which, in hindsight, makes sense
8.1/10 actually really enjoyed it!! reminded me a lot of mcr (yes i know this band came before them,) and a lot of songs are catchy to me. fantastic lyrics as well. wouldn’t revisit the artist(s) much, but definitely the album. this isn’t really related, but this album still very much applies to today, in terms of america and politics.
8.5/10 great album!!! i know it was released in ‘08, but it felt really ahead of its time. i was shocked it wasn’t released after 2020 or something. just overall a great time, definitely would return to the album and the artist. also LOVE the whole persona of the album and the storytelling
9/10 VERY impressed. a little confused at first, but i did some research and found out this was a concept album. made a lot more sense. a very enjoyable listen, but it also played to my emotions very heavily. it made me mad, made me laugh, made me sad, made me feel devastated. related to much to it and i’m not even british. revolutionary
7.6/10 enjoyed this a lot! reminded me of the kinks/the buzzcocks, which makes sense bc this album is from that same era of british music. would listen again
9.4/10 SO GOOD !! i’ve always loved elliott smith ever since i watched good will hunting and i’ve been meaning to listen to more of his discography. this album truly feels ahead of its time. it’s so diverse and successful in multiple ways. he really gave it his all. thank you elliott.
7.1/10 very nice
8.3/10 i love concerts! first time i’ve heard of this guy, and was very impressed. will be listening to more of his stuff for sure
7.9/10 had no idea that i was so familiar with so many songs of theirs. i only was able to listen to it once, but i would definitely revisit. very nice
9.2/10 another banger from the kinks. if i’m being honest i have listened to this album before but i had no issue listening again. one of my favorites
8.5/10 veryyy nice. very soothing as well. haven’t listened to anything like it before
4.5/10 definitely not my cup of tea
7.5/10 not my typical genre, but i am aware of radiohead of course. really enjoyed this, however probably wouldn’t revisit. but it definitely feels ahead of its time in the rock category. impressed
6.5/10 not my favorite, i sort of like the genre, but it just didn’t speak to me. i liked maybe one or two songs on their own but that’s about it. not bad, however
