Infected
The TheNot a fan of quirky 80s music. Don't care for the vocals or vocal melodies, but the synths are cool. Second half ended up being better than I expected. Best track: Slow Train to Dawn. Wouldn't listen again but it was decent.

Pretty much a sad Englishman singing over melodic guitar chords. Definitely enjoyable, but not what I expected from the third best album on Rate Your Music. My favorite tracks were the hits: Weird Fishes and Jigsaw.
One of the best albums of all time. The peak of Sabbath songwriting. Wheels of Confusion and Tomorrow's Dream are great, Under the Sun might be my favorite. Absolutely stacked track list. FX still sucks.
This is album is amazing because of how well all the songs flow together. Perfect combo of bluesy rock and progressive songwriting. The intro to Stairway kind of gets on my nerves though. Favorite songs: Black Dog, Battle of Evermore.
Not familiar with Cuban music. This is very cool. Good vibes.
Upon my first listen the album seemed a bit too theatrical, but after re-listening I like this a lot more. Best songs: Death on Two Legs, '39, Bho Rap, I'm In Love With My Car
Decent. Never been a big SOAD fan but this enjoyable. Serj's vocals are really good as well as the riffs. Favorite song: Sugar.
Not really my kind of music, but I have a certain respect for Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Favorite songs: Soft Shock, Little Shadows.
I assumed wouldn't like any early Beatles albums, but I was wrong. Great songwriting, Lennon's vocals are good. side one is a bit stronger than side two. Favorite songs: I'm Happy Just to Dance With You, Tell Me Why.
Chaotic, but never annoying. Literal noise songs sound more distinct than most brutal death metal songs. I liked this more than I expected. I probably won't be listening to more noise rock like this, but I'd like to explore music with some noise elements. Favorite songs: 2 Towers, Crown of Storms.
Good songwriting, great vocals. Wasn't sold at first but it really grew on me. I like the punk-ish aesthetic. The Thom Yorke feature was unexpected. Favorite songs: You Said Something, This Mess We're In, Horses In My Dreams.
Decent. Don't care for the vocal melodies or guitars but there is some solid songwriting on here. Favorite songs: Exhuming McCarthy, Welcome To The Occupation.
Not super into hip hop. but I enjoyed this. It's kind of abrasive, which makes sense considering how it was one of the pioneering rap albums. Surprisingly the Aerosmith collab wasn't my favorite song. Favorite songs: Raising Hell, Hit It Run.
Really cool album. Great guitar work, good vocals, pretty good songwriting. The history behind the music is amazing. The band is a literal group of Malian exiles. Favorite songs: Mali, Soubour, Nick.
Cohen's voice is beautiful but I'm not totally into it. Same thing with the songwriting. I like the sparseness. It gives each element room to breathe. Favorite song: A Bunch of Lonesome Heroes.
Newsom's voice immediately stood out to me. While I'm not totally into the tone of her voice, her dynamics and melodies are amazing. I love the build-up parts where the orchestra swells, then dies down to reveal the acoustic guitar. I might look more into this side of folk. Favorite songs: Emily, Sawdust and Diamonds.
Super catchy melodies and subtle but effective instrumentation, though it can be occasionally bland. Lynn's vocal tone is amazing. I'm definitely looking more into country music and the Nashville sound. Favorite songs: Title track, The Shoe Goes on the Other Foot Tonight, I Really Don't Want To Know.
I've always liked The Stones, but I could never fully get into their albums besides Exile on Main Street. Maybe it's their antiquated bluesy jams, but there's just something grating about a lot of their music. That being said, Beggar's Banquet is still really enjoyable. "Sympathy For The Devil" is fun. The piano in "No Expectations" is beautiful. "Parachute Woman" is super groovy, and the soulful choir in "Salt of the Earth" adds so much. Favorite songs: Parachute Woman, No Expectations, Factory Girl, Salt of the Earth.
What can I say about this that hasn't been said? it's full of some of the young Brothers best riffs, Brian Johnsons amazing screams, and a pounding rhythm section. There are tons of catchy choruses and raw solos. Favorite songs: Hells Bells, Let Me Put My Love Into You, You Shook Me All Night Long, Shoot to Thrill.
I usually stay away from this kind of music. That is, angular early 80s punk. But this album is more than that. While I admittedly don't care for the primitive synth tones, the drum machines, or the vocals, the grooves themselves are undeniable. The synth bass and drum sequences really carry this album for me. I'll only mention this album if I'm trying to impress people. Favorite songs: Song With No Name, Play to Win, Geisha Boys and Temple Girls, We're Going to Live For a Very Long Time.
I've been interested in getting into MJ for a while. It's cool to see this earlier part of his career. His smooth vocals are supported by a backing band with tight drum and bass grooves, choppy funk guitars, and the occasional tasteful keyboard solo (like on the opening track). There are too many catchy hooks on here. Favorite songs: Rock With You, It's the Falling In Love, Off the Wall.
This band again? Jesus. I can't overstate how much I dislike this kind of punky, angular, 80s synth music. The bass is really sick though. Favorite songs: This Is the Day, The Sinking Feeling, Giant.
