1001 Albums Summary

Fuckin heavy as dicks! I see now where Sex Bob-omb got their sound. Legitimately innovative and well produced, and the fullest guitar and drum only sound I've heard. Probably the pinnacle of early 2000's garage rock.

Lilith Fair Radiohead. Some great moments, some irritating.

Extremely mellow. So mellow it makes me sleepy but so lovely I want to stay awake for the whole thing. I will be napping afterward. An only-once-in-awhile kind of thing. For me. Certain others will listen every day.

Better as an album then just heating the hits on the radio. Rad at times and cringey at times. A bit samey.

I'll write more about this later. Some good, some cringe, very very 90s alt but also surprisingly epic and very sonically interesting

Really evokes a certain hard-won zen. Less macho than Oasis, less angsty than Radiohead, and less anthemic than Coldplay, they sometimes reach in vain to get there and other times self assuredly settle in to their own niche, more danceable and psychedelic than all three put together.

What is there to say? The height of 50's Latin dance pop. It just goes to show that people in those days really did love to cut loose and have wild fun, even though it can be hard to imagine anymore

1=Bad 2=Okay 3=Good 4=Great 5=Fantastic Sounds like if Joan Baez fronted the Grateful Dead which is wonderful at times and a little harsh at others. Really nails that pastoral/psychedelic feel that was at its peak in 1969 and probably listen again before long

I wish I could give 2.5 stars because 2 feels a bit low. I just think there's more interesting funk records. That Lady is just absolute stank of course and there are other good moments.
